If you could live in one city other than your current one for 1 year, which would it be?

@buttermilk: I just love it up there. We're heading to Monterey in a couple weeks and going to drive down the coast. We're already talking about doing a few weeks vacation rental up there next summer and I'm planning my dream retirement in Pacific Grove.

New York. DH promised it would be on our bucket list. Probably when we're old and the kids are out of the house. I would love to visit a lot of places but I've always dreamed of living in New York but never moving there forever.

@FannyMae: Having done both, I can say with confidence that living in London is even better than holidaying there! You get in and amongst the action every single day - it's amazing! Greatest city in the world

I'd choose Buenos Aires - the Paris of the southern hemisphere, amazing steaks and wine, and incredible scenery and culture. Sign me up!

@Ree723: I have a friend that has lived there for 7 years now, and 2 cousins that have been there for the last year or two. My facebook feed is constantly updated with all the cool things they are doing. jealous much??? We holidayed there for 3 weeks in 2010, and stayed in Bermondsey. I am still wistuflly dreaming of spending my 20's there.... I need a time machine

Honolulu. I'd love to live for a full year somewhere that has no winter.

NYC. But only if this fantasy also comes with a lot of money, since it is so expensive to live there.
