@FutureMrsMcK: I felt like jello. Pushing for 2.5 hours was rough

That I had realized Anna would need to be taken away from my chest and immediately to the special care nursery before my DH got to hold her first. I would have given her to him even for just a split second.
He had to wait til the next day when we were both finally able to hold her again.
I hated that he had to wait.

No meconium - that would by default have erased the transfer, horrible doctor, being forced onto my back to push, likely the severe tearing, etc. basically no meconium would have equaled no hospital which would have equaled great birth.

All 34 hours up until that transfer, I was doing fine. I didn't enjoy it, obviously, but I was fine.

So many things I can't even pick one. I wish they would've realized earlier that LO was posterior and I was having back labor. We could've tried methods to turn him naturally. It's the only reason I ended up with medication... The OB had to try to manually turn him when I started pushing and I couldn't handle it. If he had turned I don't think any of the other complications would've happened.

Pretty much nothing. I was very happy with my birth experiences!

I was a little trigger happy with the epidural. I was so numb on one side I couldn't hold up my leg. I had a really tough time figuring out how to push with no sensation down there. Originally the nurses thought I would have to have a csec bc pushing would be hopeless. Fortunately the epi did wear off some and I was able to have a vaginal delivery. It took over 2.5hrs though!

I would've had my water break in the morning after a decent night's sleep instead of at 10:30 PM after working all day long! I think it would have been a lot easier if I didn't go into the whole thing already exhausted.

Honestly, I wouldn't. I loved my birth experience.

@Mrs. Jacks: my IV hurt like a mother too. I had a HUGE bruise for days after giving birth. All in all though I was really happy with my experience.

I would have been better about saying how much pain I was in afterwards.

@MrsLilybugg: She didn't respect my decisions or my doctor's. I could tell she was against my decision to have an epi & it just felt like she was judging em the whole time. She came in at the very end, shift change happened at 7 and I loved my first nurse from 7 - 7, she was just young & not comforting. She let my fever go too long before calling my doctor who then decided an immediate c-section was in both our best interest. I don't know I feel like she wasn't following my doc's phone instructions until my doc decided it was best for her to come in and see what was going on. I ended up in the OR 30 minutes later.

My doc actually apologized to me at my 6 week visit, saying she talked to the charge nurse about how rude she was!

Umm.. not feeling my csection would have been nice. Next time I'm going to make sure they REALLY test before they start cutting. I felt like I was dying.. like literally.. someone was trying to kill me.

@LaineysMom: OMG! How terrible.

@aprk: @mrskc: they knocked me out pretty quick, but before that the pain was horrendous. I spent 2 hours in recovery because I was still in so much pain after.. I never lost any feeling in my legs, feet, or STOMACH. Haha.. I can laugh about it now, but I'm still a little bit traumatized.

@LaineysMom: That would be one of my worst fears if I had to have a c-sec. I'm sorry you had to go through that!

@mrskc: yeah.. Mine too.. My whole birth experience is a 5 minute blur of pain..

ETA: luckily I think it's pretty uncommon!

Can't really think of anything I'd change. I wish I had screamed a lot less, lol.

@78h2o: I am almost positive I would have had a section if I had tried to go natural. 32 hours of back labor (unplanned induction) reset my pain scale to a whole new level.
