If you could redo one room in your home, what would it be?
I would redo our master bathroom, no question. Our house is only 2 years old (we are 1st owners) but I'm not happy with it. I'd like to upgrade the vanities, change the shower so it has multiple sprays, upgrade the mirrors and lighting. And maybe change out the large jacuzzi tub for a clawfoot tub.

Does finishing the basement count?
If not, our kitchen. I don't like the cabinets or counter tops.

Our bedroom. It's just a blank slate at this point and I would love to go to TOWN.

upstairs bathroom - it has shower doors that I can't get clean (and it looks like the tub is a surround, with the doors screwed in so we can't remove them without redoing everything) , tile that I really hate, fixtures I don't like...

Definitely master bath. I love our kitchen already so the master bath would be next on my list of priorities in a house.

We already have plans to renovate the kitchen and finish the basement, so I'd probably say downstairs (full) bath next! It is GROSS. Pink tile on the walls, vomit green tiles on the floor (looks like an office bathroom from the 60s), wood vanity, white/grey marble counter. What!

Well our home is a fixer upper so we've renovated a lot. Next on the list is probably either the mud room or our master bath. But that won't be a few years down the line. We need to demo the "sun room", build a deck and put a fence around our yard first. Which also won't happen till probably 2 summers. 
Maybe by the time the kids are ready to leave for college this home will be complete!

Finish the basement! That is going to be one expensive task... ugh.
But really, I'd love to do almost every room in the house. We moved in to take ownership of some seriously unfortunate design choices.

Kitchen. We need new floors, I want molding around the cabinets, an inset sink with a new solid surface counter top and a quieter dishwasher. Oh and if we're going all out, I want to extend the island and add a bookshelf on one end of it so I can put my cookbooks there.

Does the whole downstairs count? lol. We have a townhouse and the dining room and living room are open to each other but the kitchen's closed off. I would just want to open up the kitchen and make it all one large open concept. We just can't really do it without spending major $$ because the plumbing and most of our cabinets are on that side. So it's not as simple as just knocking down a wall unfortunately

My husband's room. He has the most comfortable, but super ugly love seat and chair in there. I would love to make it more of a sleek place for him to work/ play guitar and even put overnight guests.

I'm torn between the kitchen and the master bath. I think ultimately, I would go with the master bath. The kitchen is tolerable. It's not to my taste, but it's got a ton of storage space and we have newish appliances. Our master bath is just annoying. The shower door sticks and leaks all over the place, there isn't a ton of storage in there now, and I would just loooove an upgrade in there!

Kitchen or master bath. The kitchen cabinets are super old though it isn't too bad. The master bath is original from 1980 so it has got to go!

Since we're in an apartment, I would redo my bedroom - but redo meaning organize, add tons of storage elements and decorate it nicely.

bathroom! It's very... 90s. Too bad one of the smallest rooms is also one of the most expensive to remodel!

I would redo our backyard. We have a pretty big lot for living in a subdivision but we have a GIANT hill in our backyard which is great for privacy bc there isn't a house directly behind us but our yard could be so much bigger. We're not positive we're going to stay in this house forever so we don't want to spend $30k removing dirt and putting in retaining walls and all that. It's so steep we'd have to get permits and an engineer...not sure we want to put that into a house we might not stay in long term

That's a toss up between the master bedroom and my son's room, since this is a rental and it's only 5 years old it doesn't need much. What it does need an interior decorator and more storage
