I'd be really upset.

I'd be upset. How old is LO? Too late to do more photos with another photographer?

I would be upset. But when we had ours done I specifically told the photog what I wanted as she was taking them (some of LO alone first, then some of LO and DH, then me and LO, then all of us). So I do think maybe you should've spoken up about it at the time. But yeah, I wouldn't be happy. Especially if you think he did it on purpose.

Dude that would upset me a lot. I think you're absolutely justifiable in asking for a mini shoot of just the two of you. Then I'd buy the bare minimum - only pictures I love. Does he have an assistant or second shooter? Maybe you could ask to do a mini shoot with them.

@spaniellove: get these pics and just get pic of YOU and baby only. Hey, maybe there is a silverlining: I'm sure you feel better and more put together these days anyway. I hope your next session turns out awesome.

I'd be so upset. That is downright spiteful, mean, and unprofessional. Who acts like that?! I'd buy the images you want, as you're right, you can't ever get back that time to have newborn pictures redone, but I would then leave negative feedback on whatever site, and also potentially lodge a formal complaint in writing - whether to a professional body he's a part of or the BBB if you can prove that he deliberately acted so unprofessionally.

Either way, I'm sorry. That's terrible that someone can act like that for no other reason than spite.

@spaniellove: I would have been livid. New mommy hormones would have gone nuts. I'm glad you are getting your mini session. I think that's a good idea.

I'm glad you found a solution but I just wanted to voice that I think you are totally in the right here! What kind of photographer doesn't get some of the MOTHER?! I have a couple as I only got like eight hospital photos. DUH!

Yep, I'd be super annoyed.

I was looking through the pictures that were taken at the hospital on the day LO was born, and realized there isn't a single photo of me holding her. Everybody and their dog came to the hospital, and I have a solo shot of every single person (DH, each grandparent, both our sisters and their spouses, my grandmother, three of my aunts, my cousin and each of her two kids) and the baby EXCEPT me. Not even included in a group shot. I was super mad, and my mom was just like "well, you didn't ask anybody to take your picture".

So, I was annoyed with all those people that should have known the MOTHER of the baby should probably have her photo taken. And I wasn't paying them to take pictures of me, so I would be even more annoyed about this photographer situation.

I would be super upset. I do sessions like this and I feel like I'm always shooting mom and baby and have to remind dad to get in there! I'm so sorry you were treated like that and glad you have someone to get pics of you on them!
