how many people were at your LO's birthday?
I'm fearing it might just be the 3 of us and BIL. And that makes me very sad because we just celebrated my nephew's yesterday. LO was so excited for it and it will still be so fresh in her mind having all her cousins, aunt, uncles and "yeen ma" there.

We didn't have a party for my DD 3rd birthday - it was me, DH, and DS. We had cake and ice cream and presents though and she had fun

My immediate family alone is 10 people, so we are always a crowd.
My husbands immediate family is even more, at 14,lol.

@looch: my family's 7 hours away and MIL has not been doing great. I think if she doesn't feel up to coming over we'll bring dinner and cake over there. Even though I'd much rather do it at home. But I think it'll be more important to have her grandparents there.

We're having 3 people - husband, lo and me. It's really not that big of a deal at this age, she's going to be 2.

Growing up, our birthdays were always just immediate family, so my parents and my brother and me. We threw Xander a 1st birthday party, but I'm not planning on throwing him another, so his next birthday will probably just be our immediate family (the 4 of us).

I think it'll be fine! I don't even know if I want to throw my kid a 1st birthday party! As long as LO is showered w/ love (& gifts haha), they won't care whether it's a big crowd or not!

@snowjewelz: we totally are!!! I'm making her special day EXTRA special! But she definitely had SO much fun when we did cake for my nephew so I know she understands.
