I would work part time...for the social aspect!

I'd love to work part time or work from home!

I'm eventually want to head back to work, but not now. Before having my son, I thought that by 6 months I would be ready. Now, I'm not so sure. Being with my son during the day is the best! I may want to head back at least part-time within the year, but I will cross that bridge when the time comes. For now, I am going to treasure every second.

I also get jealous when I talk to my grad school friends who are advancing in their careers. I had all of these dreams of doing certain things, but instead I had a baby and am watching everybody else do those things.

But still when I think about it I'd rather stay home with my LO. The job can wait until when she is older, more independent, and doesn't need me so much anymore.

I work full time right now, but I'd love to be a SAHM. At least until LO started school, then I'd be happy getting a part time job.

Yes, I'm conflicted! But the way things lined up I feel like this is what I'm supposed to be doing now. I finished my PhD and a couple years of post-doc before having LO, so I feel like I should be continuing to move forward with all that education but at the same time I'm so glad I had the opportunity to stay home with LO, it opened my eyes in a great way.

I am a WOHM. I don't think I would love to be a SAHM especially because our budget would be super tight but I would love to cut back to 20-30 hours (maybe a few extra hours at home). I am thinking I may look into teaching later on.

I'd work part time or something just to get out of the house.

I love staying at home with my Lo. I would hate to miss out on firsts and have someone else take care of her.
I'll probably go back to school and finish up my degree when the kids are out of the house or in school..

Not working is nice because we can take off for family trips whenever we want to. I hated having to ask for pto and vacation days way in advance. Also hated only having X number of days I could take off a year.

@chopsuey119: Out of 2 kids, I've missed one first (and that was M. giggling). I think babies wait for their mamas to do the special stuff!

I'd work part time. I really do love working and being a part of something. And love having a minute to myself to think here and there

I was unemployed last summer and didn't really HAVE to work, but I felt like I needed to do something...I don't think I could be a SAHW without going crazy. Now I"m unemployed again, but am expecting LO in October, so am just biding my time until I become a SAHM. We'll see how that goes, and if I feel unhappy, then I would definitely look for a part time job/volunteer work.

Oh, hells no I wouldn't work. I would be more than happy to stay home and watching this little one grow. I wouldn't even work part time.

I love working, but if I didnt have to work I would still want to, just doing something else. The career I would love to work in does not pay much. So if we could swing it I would love to eventually switch paths.

I'm SAHMing right now, but not really by choice. We recently moved for DH's job and I'm trying to find something. I would LOVE to do PT or something, but opportunities to start somewhere new PT are few and far between.
