If you didn't plan to nurse past 12 months, did you?
I always said I had no interest in nursing past 12 months, but it's a month away and now I think I'm fine with morning and night nursing for a bit after that. Getting nostalgic!

I did not, but I was on the line! The last day he nursed was the morning of his first birthday. We were down to one nursing session anyways, so it wasn't that hard, but I still get nostalgic (plus the lazy part of me hates getting out of bed when he's hungry in the morning).

I had no set plans on when to stop nursing. With DS, he was going to daycare and I had no interest in pumping past 9 months. So, I slowly weaned him. He was weaned by 11 months. With DD, pregnancy dried me up so I had to wean her earlier than planned, started around 9 months and she was completely weaned by 11 months.

Yes! I got to 12 months and so no reason to stop.... it was easy to pump at work. I did cut from 3 pumping sessions to 2, though at that point.

Yep! Stopped pumping but LO has not decreased nursing at all and still has MOTN wake ups to nurse (ugh). And has been sick a lot and sometimes only nurses so I haven't had the heart to wean at all. Haven't even done WCM due to my freezer stash. She's 13.5 mo now.

I planned to stop at 12 months. Somehow she still nurses once each day now at 25 months...

Planned to stop at 12 months. I did stop pumping and just kept the morning and night sessions. She self weaned at 14 months and we had a great end to our nursing relationship!

Nope. I planned to stop at 12 months since the pedi said he technically stopped getting as much nutrition from it at like 6 months! I stopped pumping at 11 months and weaned him at 12 months. I was proud of myself for lasting that long since I'm the first to breastfeed in my family.

I wanted to get to a year, but wasn't sure we'd even make it that long. But here We are at 18 months and still nursing. I don't know how long we'll continue. I'd like to let them self wean, but not sure if that'll really work.

I'm pretty whatever at this point--doing it as long as it doesn't cause me a ton of headaches, but I will 100% pump wean by then, if not before. I am so fucking over it already.

my goal was 6 months, but I knew 100% I'd be done by a year. HA! My LO was so tiny, and loved nursing so much that I just couldn't wean her, and I didn't see any reason to when the time came.
She tried to wean around a year but then pulled back on it and went back to nursing, and I just followed her lead. Honestly, i think she needed it to get through the 1 year molars.
she weaned herself with some gentle encouragement from me at 16 months.

Yep for three months afterwards. We weaned very slowly and it was the exact right pace for us.

I wanted to be done by 12. Almost at 14 months and struggling to wean still. Him, not me lol.

We started transitioning to cow's milk at 13 months, a little later than anticipated due to some allergen concerns (which turned out to be something else). We last nursed at 15 months.

I planned to wean by 15 months, not 12, but DD outwitted me and is still nursing a couple times a day at 23 months.
