I'm one of those people that will not answer the door if I don't know who it is (unless it is obviously a delivery). We have a 'No Soliciting' sign, yet we still seem to get people that try to sell stuff or are trying to raise money for whatever cause. If you aren't sure who is at the door, will you answer?

I usually don't, definitely not if I'm by myself or haven't gotten ready for the day yet. We basically know nobody who's close enough to just drop by (aside from neighbors) so I just ignore it.

No, but I do look out the peep hole. I made SO put one in for this reason. I can see and check them out, but they don't know I'm there.

I don't. We don't get too many visitors, so when someone other than ups or fedex ring the doorbell it freaks me out.

Never. I always hide in our guest bedroom where I can discretely peek outside to see if I know who it is. lol

once... i wasn't clothed, so i asked, and it was my husband and he didn't SAY anything, so i didn't open the door!!! oops.
he did have his keys, he just wanted to see what i'd do -
I feel so much more normal now knowing that other people won't answer the door too... I was worried I was becoming a little hermity.

@LAGS: Hahaha! In another area, I would answer the door. During the day (when I was a housewife)--I always answered the door.

Someone rang our doorbell at 5:10am today!!! Was so scared!!!

I really shouldnt but I do. The apartment we live in now doesn't have a peephole... But it's a gated community so more likely than not, it's a delivery guy.

I usually hide, even if the TV is one, lights on, I just pretend we aren't home. I sneak into our bedroom and look who is outside, if I don't know them I don't answer!

Yesterday, 2 guys rang our doorbell. I looked outside. They saw me, and I walked away lol. I am not answering the door if I don't know who you are.
