I was 28 DPO. I randomly barfed one afternoon and had absolutely no symptoms up until then. I wasn't even going to test because I didn't think being pregnant was a possibility, but I had one already in my bathroom so I figured "why not?" Boy, was I shocked.

I had tender boobs, and my period was a bit late. But my periods always been wonky and I'd never thought to test before. On some level I just knew. I was 6 weeks.

My last two pregnancies I just knew. No symptoms and tested the day my period was due just because I had a feeling.

I had sore boobs and started throwing up. I actually was recovering from strep at the time so my primary care doctor wanted me to come in. I had not had a period in months and we has been NTNP for over a year so I was very surprised when the urine test at the doctor's office came back positive!
When I went to the Obgyn for a dating ultrasound a few days later, they determined I was then exactly 6 weeks along. If I hadn't gotten morning sickness, I have no idea how long it would have taken me to test on my own! Never enjoyed POASing.

I had a weird metallic taste in my mouth and I thought I was dying. The advice nurse asked if there was any chance of being preg.

My period was a day late and it's never been late so I took a test. We were NTNP for years so I was shocked.

I was 4 days late, took a test, got a negative, still late 3 days late, positive test.

I knew I was pregnant in the TWW because I was raging soooo hard! I had some very weird cramping for a few days before AF was due and I just knew. I tested the day AF was due

I had two. Seriously. First I didn't even find out until I was 10 weeks. I had been having extremely bad migraines (prob from hormones changing) and was getting heartburn. I had wonky periods anyways and was having brown spotting so I truly never thought I missed my period.
The second time I was 9 m pp and never even had a period since before I was pregnant the first time. I was in hobby lobby and had this overwhemllming feeling I was going to throw up. Went home and tested and got a bfp.

I was sitting at my table, eating an orange. All of the sudden I noticed that it tasted terrible. Then I noticed that I was really cold, for no good reason. I mentioned these things to my husband, and he jokingly said 'Well, you're probably pregnant'. I went and looked at my calendar, and my period was 2 weeks late.

I've had 4. 1st- doctor told me when I went for check up I was pregnant. Shocked was understatement. 2nd time- talking to pregnant friend and I had same symptoms.. I was about 8 weeks pregnant. 3rd - post baby, tested because threw up when I opended fridge. Fourth time- just knew I was pregnant

I declined the chance of being pregnant when I was at urgent care the night before for a uti... had some spotting so I tested thinking it'd be negative and from my uti... wrong! No symptoms except for the spotting that day.

I tested at 10dpo. I knew it was a possibility (bc failure) and I had a weird metallic taste in my mouth. I didn't expect two lines, esp not that early. But I had a test and was like meh what the hell (didn't even look initially... peed on the stick then got in the shower. boy was I surprised when I got out of the shower to find a positive test lol).

Food aversions made me test. I'm a big egg/meat eater and they were suddenly repulsive to me. I smelled a rotisserie chicken at the grocery and wanted to vomit. Walked over to the pregnancy tests to buy one right then! I had the same symptom with my first pregnancy so I knew. I was 8 weeks+ when I found out. I was still BF'ing so my period was irregular so that didn't tip me off.

No symptoms (I'm sure I would have had some if I had been symptom spotting). My period was/is like clockwork - to the day regular, so when I was late, I knew I was in trouble! That's when I tested.

I have a heart condition that affects me when I'm pregnant due to increased blood flow. I didn't know it at the time when I was pregnant with LO1, and I had a series of tests done to figure out what was wrong with me. I didn't even consider the possibility that I could be pregnant. Every pregnancy I've had since then have showed the same symptom with my heart acting up. It's the first sign of pregnancy for me.

I was a raging bitch and completely hormonal all of a sudden. Didn't even think I was pregnant, but like @Rainbow Sprinkles: I had a test so I figured 'what the hey!' And tested. Surprise! I was about 6 weeks

I had implantation bleeding/cramping but I didn't realize that's what it was and thought my body was just being weird....when my period was due I tried not to "worry" but I just had this feeling that I was pregnant and kept having dreams that I was having baby. My cycle was pretty regular at that time and had never ever been more than 5 days late so I planned on testing on day 6 but caved tested on day 4 and was totally pregnant! I was only about 5 weeks along.

We were packing for a trip 3 days before my period and I didn't pack my cup, just didn't think of it. Which is weird because I am pretty on top of that but I didn't feel like my period was coming. The day I expected my period I woke up with huge boobs and was thirsty all the time. I knew then, but didn't get a chance to test (we were visiting family) until 4 days later, by that point I was sure and the test confirmed.
Second time when we were trying I was sure I wasn't and thought my period had started. I realized it wasn't my period right before boarding a flight home from Europe and had to wait the whole flight wondering. I was a mess by the time I landed!

I forget why I even tested.... We were ntnp for a year. We needed intervention with my twins, so honestly, I didn't think I'd get pregnant again cuz we weren't going to go the intervention route again. I didn't show any symptoms. I just tested on an expired test and was pretty shocked when it came out positive.

My boobs looked huge. I was sort of keeping track of my cycle so I realized that I was due for my period to start. I tested pretty soon after and got my BFP.

All of my pregnancies have been a surprise! My period is very regular, so when I'm late, I know something is up. This last time (found out last week), I just KNEW. No physical symptoms.

I didn't recognize any symptoms and was not actively TTC. I was almost 8 weeks when I found out. I had been thrown off by implantation bleeding that I thought was a very light period and around expected time of AF. the next month I of course had no period and a nagging feeling that maybe my "light period" the month before was not really one at all so I finally tested.
In hind sight some symptoms I think I had was heightened sense of smell and increased appetite. And probably fatigue but I've never been a good sleeper and often feel tired. So none of those things clued me in. My cycles usually varied in length and I had only started tracking length of cycles a month prior in anticipation of TTC in 6-12 months so I didn't think much of the timing either.

@BandDmommy: I thought that y'all were trying with D. Weren't you seeing an RE?

My breasts were large and sensitive, but this usually happens for me around the time my period is due. My nipples actually got really sensitive in a way that I had never felt before. I had some implantation bleeding that I thought was the start of my period, but it stopped and a few days later my period still had not arrived. I tested and got a positive.

Question for all you ladies, are you counting a "surprise" as ntnp also? When I think "surprise pregnancy" I think avoiding pregnancy but it still happened.

@Smurfette: I've recently had 2 chemicals. And I was pregnant before B.

@2littlepumpkins: my last two were NTNP but I thought we were clear because I hadn't gotten my period back and the second we had sex 4 days before I was supposed to O. The others I was actively preventing.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@BandDmommy: oh I didn't know about before B, so I got confused. Sorry!
pomegranate / 3272 posts
@2littlepumpkins: Mine was when NTNP. To be fair, I guess I was charting and forgot to look that day but we definitely weren't actively trying!
pineapple / 12053 posts
@2littlepumpkins: we were avoiding, but due to a move and travel, O was delayed, so even though we were conservative with my dates, i O'd a week later than usual and since i thought we were totally in the clear... so BC didn't fail, but my method of avoiding did (we'd been good for a year before)

My clue was sore boobs and I threw up some cake at a party. I was about 6 weeks. - technically I was NTNP but I had 1 year of failed TTC and 6 failed cycles of IF treatments plus another year without a pregnancy. I thought it just wasn't in the cards for us.
grapefruit / 4455 posts
@birdofafeather: you could say bc failed in a sense.
@Mrs. Train: wow! thanks for sharing, amazing!
@BandDmommy: thay would turn me into something of a control freak about bc. Sorry for your losses.

My clue was definitely sore boobs. I knew we had been lax with preventing, but with a really wonky cycle, so I tested a few times before a BFP

@2littlepumpkins: I apparantlg get pregnant when not trying and when I try it takes awhile.. Go figure.. I actively TTC for DD and it took 6 months...

I was charting to avoid, but around Christmas I either miscalculated or just plain messed up. I tested when my (totally regular) period was about 5 days late. That was really the only symptom I had.
