And you had to spend it on something fun/enjoyable/splurge (no savings, no debt, payoff, etc)
I'd budget for date nights with hubby, gym membership, a maid, and some kind of fun activity for LO.

Personal training
$100 of it to clothing for DH and I
a weekly activity/class for J - like a music or sports class

I would totally join a gym + get a nanny to watch LO while I went there so I wouldn't have to worry about scheduling around naps

Someone to clean my house! Regular dinner and movie dates. Membership to my favourite yoga studio.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
A monthly membership to a yoga studio, food delivery service, and a cleaning service.

House cleaning, gym membership, dinners out. And I'd probably shop at the 'fancy' grocery store.

Golly... if it had to be "fun" and not "needs"... can I purchase sleep?
bananas / 9628 posts
a cleaning service, a monthly pedi, a car detail & i'd start having my hair colored at a salon again instead of doing it myself

Cleaning, monthly massage, healthy meals delivery, my hair done...probably out of the $500 now, huh?

@Greentea: No... but you can hire a night nurse/nanny to wake with your LO a few times/month haha
I'd get twice monthly made service (=$250), twice monthly date night (= $200), and an extra monthly trip to target for fun non-necessities (= $50).

Maid/ cleaning lady all the way. Weekly! It would be amazing!
If there was anything left over, date nights, but it would have to cover a babysitter and our dinner. Mostly I just want someone to clean that isn't me.

I would put it straight into home projects every month - we have a lot to do! New tile for bathroom floor, new baseboards/trim, paint, etc. $500 allocated to our home would go along way to fixing it up the way we'd love it to be!

I can't save any?!?!
Kindermusik classes for Vivi, and then I'd use it to cover expenses so DH could take one weekday off (like, every Tuesday) and watch Vi so that I could take some classes. He and I would both love that.

Oh, I'd do a membership at a Barre studio for myself and for my son, I'd extend his camp day.

A new car and whatever was left would go to either Target or DH and I for clothing and fun.

if it HAD to be something fun/ extravagant (not go towards paying off debt, or savings, or home improvements) I'd say: cleaning service and personal trainer!

Fun money?! How exciting!!
Maid, for sure. I would get my hair done monthly. Update my wardrobe by one quality piece each month. Gym membership.
That's probably eating up my $500 already!

House cleaner, would get my hair done, buy some new clothes, and go on date nights.
