For the majority of my teen years I wanted to be a chiropractor. Researched schools and had it narrowed down to two, actually! But I think I would choose something else now- not sure though- possibly immunology or cardiology as both subjects fascinate me.

For lifestyle: dermatologyDH is a Urology resident - if it wasn't such an old boys club it would be a fun mix of surgery and clinic.

Not exactly a doctor, but a midwife. I find the whole thing fascinating.

Umm... something that I don't have to deal with bodily fluids or general grossness for the most part.
So... psychiatry? But not for in-paitients because that seems like it might have an aspect of gross. Just the talking and prescribing meds in my office type.

@Ocean girl: seriously, regarding the derm choice..... My husband is a pediatric resident. He loves it, but both in terms of pay, job, and hours, we jokingly call it the social work of medicine (I'm a social worker....).
I'd go into psychiatry.

Not technically a doctor, but I'd be a midwife. I went through a phase in high school where I totally wanted to be a midwife and now I'm wishing I'd gone through with it.

Something with the least potential to screw up someone's life. I would not be an anesthesiologist...that would just scare me. Does an optometrist count? I could totally just sit there and say "1, or 2? 2, or 3?"

OB/GYN. Love pregnancy and love babies.
ETA: I didn't know midwife was an option. I'd totally be a midwife then.
