My all time favorite girl's name is Charlotte, but it's become a little bit too popular lately. Of course, the name we have for Lil' CG is Callie (Lil' CB picked it 2 years ago!) and now there is a Disney character named that, so I'm sure it will get popular, too! And ironically, the character is a calico cat Cowgirl!

I want to stick with the H names (after DD) so it would be Heather or Hannah. I like Hillary but DH doesn't like it.

I'm not having any more girls, just had my second, and we went through every name in the book before landing on Adrienne

She would be Anneliese Kay. Because in my hypothetical world my wife would just agree.

@KelLeeLeee: My girl dog is named Marley before I ever heard of the book (got her in 2006) BUT I named her after my friend's roommate (Marlee) because I loved it so much!

We would choose Quinn DH has thrown around names like Emmy and Nev but I feel like they are nn's. Maybe as a middle name.

@mrs. wagon: aww! What a coincidence! Lol. It's all family names for me. Caroline is way back in my family tree just like Cs name is. Josephine is my grandmother and her grandmother and Cora was my great grandmothers name, but we thought it made a good nn for Caroline.

I can't think of a name that goes with it so ill just say Zuma Preslie. I'm going to have a rough time when I have another girl. I'm surprised so many of you say your husband has shot down your name choices. My husband gets no say.

I have no idea. I had a tough time thinking about girls' names before I learned LO is a boy. I think she would be nameless for a few days lol.

@Dandelion: for a while I just wanted to name the baby, Baby if it was a girl. Because I'm super creative like that. But then I was thinking Baby might not be the best choice after they were not a baby anymore.

@anonysquire: maybe just "Girl" then lol

@Dandelion: yes, good idea lol!! My nickname used to be girl when I was younger so that's perfect for number 2

Ugh why can't I type number 2 without giggling to death?

I find girls names so much easier! If it were totally up to me, I'd be picking from:
    Genevieve (nn Ginny)
    Eloise (nn Ellie or Ella)
    Maeve
    Honora (nn Nora)

I love Quinn, Finn & Imogen, but they rhyme with our last name!

Emily has been my favorite girl name for over 10 years, since before it got really popular. Elaine, Katherine, and Marie are all possible middle names - they are all family names.

Ahh, I struggle so much with this. Our last name ends in a "-ey" sound, so any girls name that ends in an "-ey" sound is out for being too rhyme-y. Which is like, all the girls names!!

And I really prefer strong traditional names. We are not expecting yet but we have tossed the idea around and we cannot come to any conclusions on girl names. So I need to read this thread more closely.

Basically, I need a fairly traditional name that ends in either -a sound or a hard consonant.

Names I do like that are OUT because of family/close friends using them: Eleanor, Elizabeth, Katherine.

I'm so-so on Hannah and maybe Amelia? And I like Meredith but DH thinks it's too much like Meredith from Grey's Anatomy, LOL.

Shivani (nickname Shai). That was our runner up name for LO 1 and our top contender for LO 2 if we have a girl.
