Savannah is on our list, we also have thrown around Mari (Mariposa)
For a boy we were discussing Elden (a mountain in the Flagstaff area).

@78h2o: I love Camden, we debated that one for a long time, but went with a different Cam

Judah for a boy and Vienna for a girl - neither currently on our list but I could live with them

Orlando and Helena. I like the Shakespearean connections and the sound of these names. Unfortunately, neither of them really suits our last name!

@SweetMamaM: loove both those names! Judah was actually on our short list.

I'm obsessed with the name Virginia for a girl (nn: Ginny). I also like Georgia. I don't really have a boy place name I like though.
ETA: I forgot Austin was on my list...and that's a place name...duh!

Chelsea, Sienna, and Sicily would be on my list for girls

Georgia and Carolina (as in North Carolina) are on our short list for girls' names. They both have very special meanings to us

Hmmmm. Lafayette, where I was born, but I wouldn't be able to get past True Blood and the way sookie says "laugh-eye-et".
As far as places we have lived or traveled to there are very few that would make good names. Maybe Lowell, but that's a stretch. I do like Charlotte, Virginia, and Georgia though.

Sydney for a girl though I like the name with absolutely no connection to the place!
For a boy...????

@daniellemybelle: me too! I think Georgia (I'd call her Georgie) is so cute, but DH doesn't love it.

If this baby is a girl we are naming her after a NASCAR race track. It's the place where DH told me he loved me for the first time. It's also been used before as a first name, but not often.

Virginia, Georgia, Charlotte, Savannah, Magnolia... I could keep going. Virginia is on my short list as its a family name, but DH has an ex named Virginia. Though, she's one of our best friends, he still says no way.

@Danizaur: Oooh, is it Bristol?
St. Augustine, Fl has a special place in my heart and my husband and I spend quite a bit of time there. I always thought Augustine or August was a great boy name.
