Just wondered from the perspective of a parent who has both, was one easier than the other? Of perhaps no difference at all?

Too early to tell, but so far my son's been a lot easier.

Depends what stage. DD was a terrible infant. She screamed and cried all the time! But, she was a fantastic and easy toddler they hurt is still out about what kind of preschooler (she's 4).
DS#1 was an easy baby. But, as a two year old he's into everything, climbs everything, and ignores most directions!
DS#2 has been an even EASIER baby, so I'm terrified of him as a toddler.
I can't say one is easier than the other, they are different.

I don't have personal experience... my mom raised three boys and three girls and I know I was the hard one to raise in comparison - but there were some hard spots with both! The boys tended to be less motivated with school, whereas my sister and I have done well in school. But on the emotional side of things, I know the girls were more difficult. I was surprised at the number of people who said to me, when I was pregnant and announced it was a boy, that I was "lucky" being raising a boy is so much easier than raising a girl... whaat? I obviously would have been thrilled with either! But it was interesting that I got that a lot.

I nannied for different families and the only easy babies were boys! However, I heard I was the easiest baby ever!

My son was a difficult baby and is now a mostly lovely toddler. So far my daughter has been an easy baby...so we'll see!

My son was a difficult baby (until 1), easy toddler (1-3), difficult older toddler (3-4) and back to easy at 5.
My daughter was an easy baby (until 1) and has been a difficult toddler right now (1-2).
I think the difficult stages just happened at different times for them, maybe just part of their maturity levels and development? But they've evened out.
