Does your LO watch it until he/she falls asleep? Or just when they wake up?
H loves the Snugabunny birds so I ordered her this cute bird mobile today and I'm hoping it will help me trick her into going to sleep on her own!!!!

I don't think she even cares about the mobile we bought (I just think it looked cute! lol!) but we have the fisher price ocean wonders aquarium in her crib and homegirl LOVES her fishies like crazy. The second we lay her in her crib, her thumb goes in her mouth and she fall to sleep watching her fishies.

mine tries to keep his eyes open and they are all droopy and fighting sleep. As soon as the mobile stops moving, his eyes just SHUT.
It hypnotizes him, basically. WIN!

Baby girl uses the mobile I had as a baby and loooves it. If she fusses when I put her down as soon as I turn on the mobile she gets sucked in and seconds later is out cold.

@prettylizy: I'm going to investigate this fish thing! We nurse to sleep and although it's fine bc it's working, it can't hurt to try some other stuff to trick her!

A gets really excited by her mobile, she kicks and laughs when it's on so it probably wouldn't work for us but I love the sound of the aquarium...

I made one and she loves it, but it does the opposite of put her to sleep. She just stares & talks to it forever. Fail.

we have the tiny love sweet island dreams mobile and she lays there chatting with the animals and watching them intently. doesn't make her sleepy at all, it stimulates her.

I think there are a few FP aquariums, but we ave this one http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-L6925-Ocean-Wonders-Aquarium/dp/B000NW5RWQ and its by far her favorite "toy". She has a mobile too, but it kind of gets her riled up plus she can't see it in the dark.
Sometimes she watches the fish for 30 minutes before she finally falls asleep, but she just lies there quietly.. It's so sweet! Best. Toy. Ever.

D falls asleep to his mobile, I just turn the music off when I want him to fall asleep.

My LO falls asleep (naps only) to the sound of his mobile. He loves it!

Mobiles didn't end up helping since her room was pitch black dark.

Didn't help her, she ends up talking to the animals. We have a tiny love mobile. We only use it when she is awake now

Lo's mobile is only used for entertainment nowadays, if I need to put her in her crib for a few minutes then I turn it on and she has fun talking and kicking at it. It doesn't help to put her to sleep at all.

We bought a tiny love mobile in desperation and LO loves it so very much he just lies there staring at it and then gets way overstimulated and starts shouting and crying. Fail! But it's a great daytime toy. The mobile arm is removable so we can detach it at night when he starts sleeping in his crib.

I ordered one from Lil Sprout Creations on Etsy. It's really cute but DS never cared much about it. It's very simple though and doesn't have a motor or anything.
