I've been trying to frequent doctor's in my home town to help local business, but I've been really disappointed in the service there. Plus, I wind up having to take a ton of time off work to account for travel and whatnot. Maybe I should seek out doctors (dentist, optometrist,e tc.) nearer to the city I work in!

i have a long-ish commute - but all of my doctors are in the city where my office is.... I used to live downtown so that's why. all of my son's doctors are close to home.

My doctor's office is close to home and my dentist is close to work!
ETA: I often make doctor's appointments for my day off, so being closer to home is more convenient. For the dentist, I usually go during the week, so being close to work is better for me.

The town I work in is smaller than the city I live so all my doctors are in the city that I live. I usually try and schedule appointments first thing in the morning or late afternoon so I either get to work late or leave early.

Work. Although now I work even farther than where my doctors office is. I used to work right across the street and it was really convenient. I haven't worked close by there for 5 years now but I like my doctor so I continue to go there! (for the record, I pass by the area everyday, so it's not out of my way or anything).

I go to a doctor by my work, lady doc halfway in between, pediatrician is near home and dentist is in my home town. I have a 30 mile commute.

My doctor's and dentist are all by where I work but I plan to find a pediatrician near our home. I have about a 22 mile commute. The only reason all my medical stuff is close to work is b/c I use to live closer to there as well but when DH and I were house hunting we needed to find something in between his and my work. I'm also too lazy to change to someone new.

All my doctors are close to home which is about 45 minutes from work.

I have about a 45 minute-1 hour commute (give or take depending on the day...). I have all of my appointments close to work; it makes it a lot easier scheduling-wise. Once baby comes, I think the plan is for me to stay home for awhile, so that'll obviously change.

My dentist is within walking distance.
My doctor is not close to home or work but she's great so I don't want to change (plus it's hard to find GP's here right now). -

Neither. Some are near where I used to live, which is on the way from home to work (by public transit, driving they would be a huge pain). My midwife is not really convenient to either, so I either schedule first thing in the morning or work from home that day, but it's like a triangle from where I live to the office to work. The town I work in is not very nice so I would not go to a doctor there.
LO's ped will be near home and I'll probably start goign to more doctors around here anyway. But I love my eye doctor and will continue going to him as long as I live in the greater boston area.

Near home. I can usually avoid the commute traffic on appointment days by leaving work early or going into work late. Facilities are better near home too.

They all used to be close to work, but I just switched to a new Dr close to my home (but I haven't been yet). I work near home on Fridays, so I'm just hoping to be able to schedule Dr. appointments for that day, or else maybe work from the home office on those days.
