My in laws just recently upgraded to a minivan. They have 2 kids.. bought it when #2 was 18 months old?

Bought it after we had our second... We could've made it work with our crossover SUV, but we live near family and its nice to be able to go places in the same car.

SInce we're done having kids I'm never going to buy a minivan.
We'll probably upgrade to a 7-8 seater SUV in a few years.

I have a Mazda 5 which is a mini minivan and we are currently TTC. But I'm a nanny and take my neices lots of places.

So, I don't have a minivan, but we almost bought one about a month ago. We have 1 LO. I'd take one in a heartbeat!

@chopsuey119: Yeah! We need to install our infant seat bases soon...no idea how I'm gonna drive my parents around when they visit. Well, maybe I'll stay home a lot!

2 (but 2 infants at once). We have multiple friends who have a mini with only one LO, though.

One. But we also have a 65 pound dog who goes pretty much everywhere with us

My plan is to get one when I'm pregnant with #3. I don't really want one, but those 3-row crossovers are cramped!!!

We just bought a 7 seater crossover yesterday. DH told me I can have as many kids as I want but he will never buy a mini van. I'm hoping to make 2-3 work in it

IF I was going to buy a minivan, it would be now that we're going to have 3 kids. With 2 kids, I'd stick with our Jeep Grand Cherokee. But that's a huge, big never-gonna-happen. Not as long as we are doing a ton of driving on rough gravel roads that absolutely slaughter any vehicle that's not on a pickup frame. We are considering a Suburban though. Not that that's what you asked or anything, lol.

@char54: yup Dh has already put the absolutely never stamp on minivans. I grew up with them and hate driving them anyway, but I know once we have two kids it will be impossible to drive anyone else.

@Foodnerd81: I grew up with minivans too (had 3 little sisters, not much of a choice!). I'm hoping I can fit 3 kids in t but not sure
