Way easier than expected. They are 3 years apart and my son is a very easy going 3yo. The first few weeks were a little rough as he adjusted, but he is an adorable, loving big brother. If I leave them alone for a few minutes I know I don't have to worry about him doing something to DD. I think it also helped that DD has been vastly easier on most fronts than my son was, so the first month or two she just slept all of the time and we went about out business as usual.
ETA: I also had major BF issues with DS and zero with DD.
