You're going to laugh, but I have one kid and I have 4 seats...two convertibles and two harness to boosters. My husband and I each have a seat in our cars, plus one in each of my parent's car...and I need another seat for travel. It's insanity.

We have 3 - 2 in my car because I pretty much take the kids everywhere - DH keeps 1 in his car and then if he needs 2 he will grab one from my car

We do have 4 seats but we got convertible boosters for DD1 and gave her old convertible seats to DD2. It is convenient for the times when DH can randomly do drop off or pick up for me.

We currently have 4. A convertible and infant in our car then a convertible and infant in my IL's car. Sometimes we need them to pick the kids up from daycare in a emergency situation and it's just easier than have them come get the seats from us.

We have the Scenera for LO1 and I bought a used infant from a trusted friend for IL's car. When #2 is ready to go in a convertible I'll probably research a cheaper 5 point harness for LO1 and move #2 into the Scenera for the IL's vehicle.

@looch: LOL which harness boosters do you have?

@locavore_mama: I have a Britax Frontier and a Graco Nautilus. They look exactly the same!

We currently have 5 convertible carseats for our girls. One for each girl in each of our cars. And an extra one at the IL's, a Cosco Scenera, we plan on getting another one once #2 is transitioned outa her bucket seat.
