Considering getting one and wondering the same thing!

I WAH so I'm here when the cleaning lady is here. Depending on my schedule, I will sometimes go out and do errands while she works, and I know she prefers that I'm not here when she mops (our whole place is hardwood floors). We have grown very friendly, so we chat a lot when she's here.

I'm not home. They have a key to our house and come and go while we're at work/daycare. It's like Christmas coming home to a sparkling clean house! We also have a bonded/insured service and she does background checks/random drug tests on all her workers.

I've done both.

I'm usually home. LOVE it when my cleaners come.

They come while I am at work. It's a much better situation for us.

DH works from home on Friday's so he is home most of the time. He closes himself in the office and then goes outside to water the plants, does some laundry, etc when they are cleaning the office.

I always left the house. And I made DH leave the house, too. I, personally, wouldn't want to work in someone's house when the homeowners were home. Also, I wouldn't want to be at home while someone is cleaning my house. I just find that extremely awkward all around. I trust our cleaning lady so I don't mind her being in our house with no one there.

At the first cleaning, I was home, but stayed out of her way. Now, she has a key to our house and comes and goes on her own. She always comes on the same day about the same time. Sometimes, DH is home, but a lot of times, she does her thing and leaves.

I have them come at 9 am - it's a school day for T. I'm usually home with T and then we head out to drop him at school. I go to the gym and run errands and by the time I get home around 12/12:30 they are wrapping up.

I leave the key and she lets heselfr in. I or a family member stayed for the first few times until we got comfortable with her. We leave one room locked where we keep all our papers and small electronics.

I wish I had a great cleaner! If I did I would probably leave just because I would feel awkward.

Never when I'm home, I find it very uncomfortable. I don't think they like it either.

DH stays in the office.

I stayed at home initially until I got to know our cleaner & built some level of trust. Now I leave a key & she comes & works her magic while we are at work. We come home to a lovely clean house on the last day of the working week, best feeling ever!

I'm home. The company doesn't always send the same crew of 2-3 cleaners. I like to be there to give them instructions as they move to different areas. Also I check on their work as they leave one spot. I would hate at the very end of cleaning to get several items to touch up after I moved all of the supplies and equipment out of the space, so I bring it up as they go along.
