What color do/did you have?
I want something neutral and can't decide which one we should get!

Red! And I loved it and actually got a lot of comments on how cool the color was. I think the newer ones may look a little different now though.

I got the Magic edition (has bigger canopy and a boot which was great for my winter baby). It only came in one color, brown, which I am not crazy about but the extra features were worth it

We have a green one and a grey one. (Both hand-me-downs from my sister's twins.)

Ours looks gray, I don't know the exact name of the color. I think it's neutral, we use it for our little girl!

Ours is gray and lime green-- I think it is called midori. Perfect for DD and now DS.

We have the "equinox" color which is navy blue and silver. I love it. We were team green and wanted something neutral as well.

@MRSJX3: oh I haven't seen any navy blue! I was looking at the options on the Albee Baby website since there is a 20% coupon code.
@twodoghouse: they look like tiny dolls in there!

I was going to get this, but upon check out it said the piping is lavender and not gray. I don't know if I want purple on the carseat!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: We got ours at babies r us but I think Buy Buy Baby has the same color. Both stores will take 20% off coupons!

I had the granita color, it's like a deep red/maroon. For a boy. I liked it!

Another question:
How long did you carry your babies in the Keyfit before you transferred to a convertible?
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@Rainbow Sprinkles: we had a dark purple color - not sure if they still sell it. We got it at Babies R Us. With DS1 we quit using it at about 6 months when he could sit in a high chair. With DS2 we stopped using it as a car seat at around 2 months because he hated riding in the car. We thought maybe switching him to a convertible would be more comfortable. Nope. He still hated it and eventually grew out of it. My boys were really heavy so it was extra heavy with them in it.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: gray. 7 months for LO 1 and 12 months for LO 2!

We had red. Used it for our daughter and will again for our son. Our daughter was in the key fit until 12 months.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I know! I can hardly remember them being that small!
@Caly: Ahhhh so sweet! Love the hats!

We had the lemon/limonata. Lovely, neutral yellow. Beautiful color! LO used it until she was 12 months or so.

Surge (bright!) green and I hated it I wanted something more neutral but DH was REALLY excited about it and it was one of the few things I "let"
him pick out. I did love the actual function of the seat though! Just not the color.

I also had the magic and used it with dd and DS! The extra canopy is awesome!!

@Charm54: @matador84: Now, I want to return my Chicco Sedona and get the magic. I don't think I saw it on Amazon and Target websites when I was registering.

@twodoghouse: @Caly: Twin moms! I think you both had b/g twins. What made you decide to go with same color car seats or different color car seats. I was thinking having them both the same would avoid grabbing the wrong seat. But I could see if one baby is growing larger than the other and we have to adjust the straps that it might be a pain to remember which one has the seat adjusted. What do you think?
ETA: oh, @Caly:, I see that you have two girls.
honeydew / 7230 posts
@bluestriped bee: We didn't think about it too hard - I just wanted two different colors. However, they were different sizes and it was easier to have different colored seats so we knew this was for A and this is for B. But we also had soft toys attached to the bars for a long time, so there are other ways to differentiate who's is whose!

@twodoghouse: Were they different sizes from the beginning or was that something you did after a month or two?
honeydew / 7230 posts
@bluestriped bee: Alice was a pound larger at birth (which is a big difference when you're talking 4.5 and 5.5 lbs!). She stayed about a pound bigger through almost 6 months when he surpassed her. Now he's about 4 lbs bigger!

I have the gray one (I think it's Sedona). I liked the red, but they didn't have it at BuyBuyBaby when we went to get it. And we kept LO in the Keyfit until he was 6 months - he'd probably still fit now at a year but we were getting ready for a cross country move and I thought the convertible would be more comfortable for the drive.

I'm probably going to rent one (or maaaybe buy one) as I picked up a bugaboo bee adaptor on ebay for $1 hee heee!
nectarine / 2765 posts
@bluestriped bee: I honestly didn't think much of getting the same seat for both. We were team green and just knew we wanted something neutral. We also never pay attention to who used which seat last, we just adjust the straps each time and it's never a problem or a hassle. They're relatively the same size and at 20 months they're still using them (they're approx 22 lbs each).
@twodoghouse: Thanks! A friend made them & I love them

@Rainbow Sprinkles: ours is gray. We use it for 6 months then move to foonfs.

We had the green and dark grey. I registered for the red one but then I saw a mom with a newborn in the red one and assumed it was a boy based on that! It was dumb, but I exchanged it for the green because I was having a girl We will use it if we ever have a boy though.

I've registered for surge.
I wanted to go gender neutral not because of our baby's gender, but because we're registering for the liteway stroller too and I didn't want DH feeling odd pushing around a girly colored stroller if they matched.
