when could your husband feel movement? and when did you consistently feel movement yourself? I'm so impatient, and had a posterior placenta last time, so this is frustrating!!!

I had one with my first. I felt first movement at 20 weeks and could feel it consistently by 24 weeks. My husband could feel by like 26 weeks I think?

I felt bubbles around 18 weeks and felt my first real kick at 19 weeks. By 21 weeks I was feeling movement daily. The kicks weren't big or consistent enough for DH to feel them until 24ish weeks. Before then I would grab his hand when DD would kick to feel and she'd stop. When I started feeling her roll around and press against me it was easier for him to feel. That was when I was a lot bigger.

I had one with my first too. I first felt movement at 17 weeks, but not consistent until maybe 19 or 20? And really only in one spot kind of on my side. DH felt the baby at 22 weeks for the first time, but again, only in that one spot.
With my next baby I had a posterior placenta, and I was amazed at how much more I would feel!

I had one with my first... waves at 18 weeks, kicks at 20 weeks, consistent movement at 22 weeks

I could feel movement by 20 weeks (bubbles before that). I can't remember when Hubs could feel them though...

I think i've been feeling what you guys describe as "bubbles" the past week or so. I am pretty sure it's movement but it feels much slighter than it did with my posterior placenta, which makes me a little unsure. Ahh I'm only 16 weeks, my husband is going to go crazy if he has to wait another 8-10 weeks to feel him!
@LAZB: yea I almost wish I'd had it the other way around so I'd be pleasantly surprised by the early movement rather than the other way around!

I had an anterior placenta. For my first baby I could feel him at 18 weeks, my husband not til like 22. FWIW I am pretty slender.

I had it, and I believe I could feel movements by 20 ish weeks as well.

@Pirouette: Probably 20 weeks for consistent movement and closer to 25 weeks for DH to feel it.

I had an anterior placenta with my first and now again with my third. With my first it was about 22 weeks before I felt movement, more like 26 weeks for DH to feel it. This time, being my third, I felt movement around 20 weeks but it was very faint and it was another week or two before I was sure of it. Now, at 26 weeks, I occasionally feel a big movement instead of just flutters, but nowhere near as obvious as the movements I felt at this point with DD2 (posterior placenta). I'm naturally pretty thin as well fwiw.

I was just told that I have an anterior placenta for this one. I'm now at 20.5w, and I'm *maaaaybe* just starting to feel some small rumbles. But it's really hard to feel them. It also took me awhile to feel movement with my first, even though I don't think I had an anterior placenta then. I felt rumblings around 22w and then more obvious movement closer to 24w. I'm impatient this time, too!

It was 24-26 weeks. And I was never able to feel big movements (rolling around, pushing against me, etc) for the entire pregnancy. I just felt kicks and one bout of hiccups.

@Mrs.KMM: oh that's such a bummer. I was wondering that - if i'd every really feel the big rolls and kicks. It was my favorite part of pregnancy the first time, and I'd really miss it!
@pregnantbee: exactly! it's so much harder to be patient this time, since everyone always said you feel it EARLIER with your 2nd. My expectations were totally unrealistic!
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@Pirouette: Same about my own expectations. And now after reading @Mrs.KMM: 's post, I'm worried I won't feel much of the bigger movements either! Those were also my favorite the first time around. I guess all we can do is hang in there and wait??

@pregnantbee: yes, basically! baby was moving around like crazy during the u/s yesterday - the tech really could not believe how crazy active he was. and my daughter was the same way, and i LOVED feeling her all the time. I hope it happens eventually (and you're a month ahead of me, so you'll just predict the future for me)

I felt it earlier than most, 15 weeks or so. DH didn't till maybe 20-22?
grapefruit / 4355 posts
@Pirouette: and @pregnantbee: I definitely feel like I missed out on a major joy of pregnancy there. I cried to both my mom and DH multiple times over it while I was pregnant with DD. I really hope that I have a posterior placenta and can experience it in a future pregnancy.

25 weeks until I could consistently feel it, and another week or two past that before DH could. I could feel rolls and kicks, but it was definitely more muted than it was with my second pregnancy/posterior placenta

@Mrs.KMM: aww, that makes me sad I hope you get a posterior placenta next time so you get to experience it!
@Torchwood: that makes me feel a little better about what I'm actually feeling. i've been dismissing it because it seems too early (16 weeks), but I am definitely very in tune with my body, so i think that's what I'm feeling!

I felt movement around 20 weeks and DH started feeling it around 24 weeks

I started feeling movements around 22 weeks. My coworker was the first person to feel movement and that was around 26 weeks.
I can only rememebr two major times when I felt lots of movement.

I started feeling movement at 21-22 weeks, it became more consistent around 25 weeks and I think that's when my husband first felt it too. I just hit 28 weeks and I haven't felt any rolling motions, it still feels like gas lol.
