Which shows are ok in your book...not too annoying? I heard some good things about Curious George!

I'm usually OK with whatever's on PBS, though LO still doesn't watch most of it.

Disney Jr is our go to. He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (we watch it constantly). He just started on PBS so we watch Curious George BUT I can't stand Caillou (he is so whiny). For a while we watched Disney Shows together like Phineas and Pherb and ANT Farm and Jessie. But I like those shows. He has also seen a few episodes of Team Umizoomi and I really like that show. I personally like the interactive shows because he interacts and doesn't just zone out.

He only watches Disney Jr. at this point. And he really only cares about Mickey Mouse clubhouse and Big Block singsong. I love me some Big Block.

LO mainly watches shows on PBS. I grew up watching PBS, and I approve of most shows on there. His favorites are Curious George, Daniel Tiger, and Super Why.

DD watches Blues Clues and Dinosaur Train on Netflix. She also watches some British children's programming on Netflix like Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit, and Kipper the Dog. We also let her watch Disney songs on YouTube.
Occasionally she gets to watch something on PBS, but it's pretty rare that we watch actual tv anymore.

Sesame Street is pretty much it- my son really doesn't pay attention to TV. I don't know how he's my child :).

L is going to be 2 in August to give you an age reference. Her first show that she really loved watching was Spot. They don't play Spot on TV but you can find all the videos on YouTube. I love(d) Spot because it's simple animation and nothing too fast or flashy and no whiny/bad behavior.
Now she is obsessed with Curious George. I also love Curious George because it teaches some simple lessons and while George is mischievous he never gets into trouble for doing bad things. Usually he is trying to help which I like. Plus, I can watch the same episodes with her over and over again not get bored which is always nice!

the only shows charlie watches are thomas, dora, and diego, and he's been watching the same episodes for the past year and a half. we'll probably get some new shows before our trip to the philippines but not sure what!
i don't think he learns much from thomas, but he has learned a lot of spanish and about animals from dora and diego.

I put on signing time the other day for her because she was feeling sick and cuddly, it was cute. I've also used Baby Einstein a few times when she wasn't feeling well.

Only Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood after Mrs. Cowgirl recommended it! She is happy to watch it every day when I put her baby sis to bed.

@Andrea: That's all DS watches too- he loves it, and I feel like he actually gets it. I'm really glad Mrs. Cowgirl recommended it!

@rsp213: Yea for another August baby! I have a LO turning 2 in August as well!
We like curious george for the same reasons and also like Clifford.
Barney is on PBS sprout when we are getting up in the morning.

@prettylizy: My LO loves Baby Einstein - she is fascinated by them, especially the puppets (as is one of my kitties!).

The only shows she gets to watch are Sesame Street and Dinosaur Train (allllllllllllllllll aboard!!!!). She loves both and starts dancing as soon as the theme songs come on!

What channels are Curious George on?
Currently the only thing I put on when she's being extremely clingy and I need to make her food is Baby Genius DVD I got her that are all nursery rhymes and children songs.

She only watches Sesame Street and Mickey Mouse Club House. Her choice, not mine. I'd like to branch out a little bit but if I try a new show she cries for Elmo.

@regberadaisy: I see Curious George on both PBS and Sprout - I think it comes on around 7am on PBS during the week. (You can tell we have early mornings in my house!). I have a DVR so I usually just have 4-5 episodes that I keep on hand.
Alternatively almost all Curious George episodes are on YouTube as well. We sometimes set L up with the iPad and she watches it that way.

Current favorites of DS right now are: Bubble Guppies (I don't think he understands it, he just likes the catchy songs), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Dora. Basically he likes the ones with catchy music. That's ok by me even if he's not learning a ton from those. For DD I'm more picky since she actually absorbs it all. She loves Cat in the Hat and learned the order of the rainbow colors from that show

When he's sick or I need to make dinner or something really quick ill settle him down with Curious George for a max of like 15 minutes. He likes it! He also watches YouTube videos of The Wiggles here and there.

We flip between PBS and Disney Junior in the mornings during breakfast so I can get ready and get work from home stuff sent out before classes start.
His favorites right now are Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Little Einsteins. Also good- Dinosaur Train, Daniel Tiger, Octonauts, Sid the Science Kid, Sesame Street, Curious George and in the afternoon Martha Speaks and Wild Kratts. We've both been sick the past few days, so we've pretty much parked in front of the tv this week. Usually it's only an hour or so and then we are off doing something.
The only ones I can't stand is Micky Mouse Clubhouse and The Cat in the Hat. Those two drive me bananas! Something about the voices I think.

pretty much disney junior. man - she FLIPS for mickey mouse clubhouse. it's hilarious.
when we were in disney last week, she wasn't afraid of the characters at all...but when we met Mickey & Minnie, she grinned and belly laughed at them! superfan.

PBS only. We do Curious George, sometimes Cat in the Hat, always Daniel Tiger (soooo awesome), sometimes Super Why. DD also likes Martha Speaks, but we watch that one on Netflix.
