If you met your DH after high school, do you think he is someone you would've dated in high school?
DH and I definitely wouldn't have! He would've been too nerdy for me and I would've been too wild for him

Hmmm I met DH when HE was in high school & was attracted to him so I would think yes. Really the only reason we didn't date then is b/c I was 5 years older, had G, and was obviously in a different stage of life (God laughed and had other plans). lol

This is a great question! Yeah, I think I would have thought he was pretty cool - we hung out at the same places after school and knew a few of the same people but for some reason never met. I think if I'd met him (from about 15+) I would have really fancied him!

I would have definitely dated him in HS! He's always been exactly my type.... Nice, outgoing, tall baseball player. He would've dated me in HS too I think!

@grizz: exactly what you said! I met DH when he was 18 and I was 20 and I still wouldn't have dated him then, haha!

If we were both around the same age, then I think we would have dated in HS. Otherwise I was in elementary school & jr high when he was in HS so that would not have happened!

I would have had a huge crush on him, but I wouldn't have spoken to him first. He's so outgoing and I'm super shy that I don't know if our paths would have crossed much in school.

I have a feeling I wouldn't have dated him. He seemed like he was way too preppy in HS and I wasn't into guys like that. I like the more funny, offbeat ones. Not the douchy sports guy (which he kind of was)! In college he let his hippie flag fly and I was ALL over that!!

Nope bc I was a big nerd and he was one of the cool/popular kids. He dated a bunch in HS.

I'd like to think yes but i honestly don't. and i don't think we would've worked at ALL during college (more so than HS). we met at the perfect time i think, when we both were in a position to realize how perfect we are for each other because we each knew ourselves well enough. Plus i was so anti-marriage at that age i would've definitely screwed it all up!

Nope. And here's how I know that. I had a big crush on him in high school, and he had no idea who I was. Had he known, he would have laughed at the thought - he was a cool kid and I was a dork. Fast-forward to college, when one of my best friends started dating one of his best friends. They dated/got engaged/got married, and over the course of 5 or 6 years, they never once thought to "hook us up" until a year after their wedding. Up until that point, we were both in such different places in our lives, there's no way it would have worked out.

@grizz: ha I know. I'd love to be able to say we'd have been perfect for each other at any age, but I think I have to limit that to any age past around 26, haha!

yep! i was always attracted to younger guys and he was pretty cute in HS. but i was dating someone else almost two years of HS, so although he was my type, we wouldn't have actually dated.

I would never have dated DH in HS. He was a jerk through HS according to him and a smart ass. That's why it's so fateful we met after HS!

Yes. Well.... if he were the same age. He's older which is why we hadn't met before even though we both belonged to the same temple our whole lives. We were both band geeks so we would have been in band together. And he's geeky.... just my type

Nope - I knew who he was in HS but we weren't acquaintances, and no way, he was too busy hitting on all the girls in short skirts and having week long "girlfriends".

Nope! I was into sporty guys in high school, whereas my hubs was going through a rebel phase then. He changed in college (when I met him) for the way better.

No way! First, we went to rival high schools. Second, we hung with seriously different crowds..into different things.

DH and I play this game. We pick college because he attended parties at the school I was accepted to, but ultimately didn't attend.
I didn't date in HS. We probably would have been very good friends. I gravitated to smart guys and I am DH's type.

nope! he was a very good boy.... i was a bit of a wild child. he was also pretty religious through college & that's not my thing, so i don't think we would have seen ourselves as having much in common. we do have a lot of friends from high school in common though. he lived 5 minutes from me but went to private school & we had a lot of friends that knew both of us, he even roomed with a friend of mine his freshman year of college. but oddly enough our paths never crossed until much later & for that i am grateful!
