We'll do the Teal Pumpkin this year along with regular candy. I'm thinking erasers, bracelets and those funky finger puppet monster things.

We don't get many trick or treaters. I'm planning to get little bags of veggie straws or goldfish because LO will enjoy the leftovers!

I have a mix of leftovers: mini Halloween crayons, glow bracelets, George rings and bubbles.

We're doing glow stick bracelets too - less candy temptation for me that way!

@mediagirl: toothbrushes!!
Haha just kidding! We will totally be giving candy.

Goodie bag filled with temporary tattoos, bubbles, and a glow bracelet. We also have allergy free candy! Gummy bears, jelly beans, and lollipops.

If I can find them cheaply, I think glow sticks are so fun.

@yin: so I already bought my candy. But are gummy bears, lollipops, jelly beans produced in nut free facilities? What about milk protein? Just curious because I was thinking about what candy I could buy that would be completely allergen free and I decided I couldn't.

@Mrs. Oatmeal: in the teal pumpkin thread someone found them 10/$1 at target. They also sell a 100 pack on Amazon for ~$9. I got them from dollar tree 8/$1 for Lo's daycare treats. Will be handing out leftovers. We don't get a lot of kids.

@regberadaisy: no Target in Canada anymore. The dollar store might have them though! I've only seen them at the party store (pricy), but I should check!

We do the teal pumpkin thing in addition to candy. We don't get too many trick-or-treaters so we have leftover stuff from last year - a bunch of random stickers, tatoos, glow-sticks, etc. from target.

@.twist.: I love the irony of it. But that's an expensive hand out! LOL
@TemperanceBrennan: oh, I should totally scope out target one spot clearance for next year.

@Mrs. Oatmeal: they're the small bracelet ones but - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IZ9N78?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_2&smid=AQASJ9CKUP57G

@mediagirl: haha you saw the ones I got last year from Amazon, and used as cupcake toppers for daycare treats?! I'll send M one!!!

@regberadaisy: I don't know if I did. So cute!!

@Mrs. Oatmeal: I get ours from Amazon!
We do glow sticks/bracelets in addition to candy. I didn't hear about the Teal Pumpkin thing until this year, so we painted a pumpkin just in case kids need to know.

We actually have quite a bit because we have a few severely allergic children in our neighborhood. We're giving pencils, glow bracelets, spider rings, and toy skulls.

@yin: Yep, I got Starbursts to hand out for allergy-free candy. I even keep them in a separate bowl from the chocolate candy.
@regberadaisy: You have to check labels, but Starburst are produced in a nut-free facility and contain none of the 8 major allergens.

We will do the Teal Pumpkin Project and have both candy and a bunch of left overs I have from recent events including glow bracelets, tattoos, stickers, spider rings and a few glow in the dark rubber duckies.
@regberadaisy: check the bags of what you have, but they are probably safe for nuts. skittles, starburst, dots, regular peeps (not the chocolate ones), hot tamales, and Mike and Ike's are typically allergy safe (they don't contain the top 8) but you should always check the bag.

We don't get any trick or treaters! But I'm making little bags for M's class with pretzels, bunny grahams and stickers.

Good to know about starburst! I haven't bought candy yet, but really wanted to do the teal pumpkin thing this year. We have that huge pack of glow bracelets from Amazon, from something we did earlier in the year. I'll use those and Starburst!

@regberadaisy: Yes! Free of top 8 allergens and made in nut free facilities! Even LO2 can eat them (minus the jelly beans due to seed oil)!

I've been thinking about giving out something in addition to/instead of candy this year, too. I was thinking about trying the teal pumpkin thing. Maybe a Seuss eraser or sticker sheet or something?

I'm handing out candy and have glow bracelets for the Teal Pumpkin Project.
@Mrs. Oatmeal: I found them last week in the Target dollar spot in tubes with 15/$1. They look like this:
