did you do it in the store or online?
I haven't actually registered yet (just research), but I would much rather do it from the comfort of my own home than in the store. Is that weird?

I don't think it's weird at all! Registering at the store is REALLY overwhelming. We went to the actual store to start the registry but we only registered for the big stuff in person. Most of it we did online!

I went to the store. I like to see things in person because sometimes you just can't tell the details by looking online. But then I'd go back online and switch it up.

I did mainly online for the same reasons and because there's more stock. But I made sure to go to the store too so that I know the items I registered for were available AT the store too.

I attempted brick and mortar for our wedding registry and it was a NIGHTMARE. The scanning gun wasn't charged at all when we got there, so we had to wait (even though we made an appointment). And then the gun kept dying once we went around the store to scan. Then it sent items to the wrong registry or didn't save it at all anywhere.
I will only be registering online for this baby.

We did it at the store, but only because we didn't go to the store for our wedding registry, and I decided my life wouldn't be complete if I couldn't use a scanner gun. So we went and did it at the store, and then came home and changed it up online
We also did an amazon.com registry, which is obviously completely online.

I started target online, then went and continued in store because they have made it SO easy to edit from your phone with their app! I love it.
I did Babies R Us in store and have been back many, many times. I didn't do it all in one shot.

@FutureMrsMcK: hahah when we went into Target it was the first time we used a scanner gun. My husband LOVED it. He tried to scan things from across the store! Crazy man.

I registered in person but added most items from the website.

I went to the Babies r us store because my mom wanted to help out. I really wanted to see the car seats and strollers in person too. Plus we got a goodies bag that way! Of course I edited everything online but I'm glad we started in the store.

I registered at Babies R Us online, but I made sure that the majority of what I registered for had the "in store pickup" or "available in store" options. We do plan to stop into the store at some point to wander around and see if we want to add anything.

I went in store and then updated online for stuff that they didn't have that I liked or wanted a different pattern. I prefer to get stuff I know will be in store (for local family/friends) since I have a lot of older members who don't online shop. I want plenty of both options.

I did buy buy baby in store and was wiped out whn I left. I did BRU online and cross-checked with my BBB registry and it went great. I don't think I could have handled two stores in person!

I registered for our wedding in store, then updated online. I like going to see and feel things in person.

I did a lot of my BRU registry online but went to the store to see/feel/test out the stroller, crib, and other big ticket items.

I went to both Target and Babies R Us and started in person but then did a lot of tweaking online. There were some things I really wanted to see in person and wanted to be able to try out like strollers and carseats. I had done a lot of research but I still wanted to test drive those things myself.
