Between LOs, condoms and/ or pull out. We knew we wanted a second so we were ok with not being super duper careful.

I got Mirena after our second and so far I am not loving it. I've had spotting for two months now and with a baby sleeping in our room, and the toddler still sometimes waking at night, the need for birth control is pretty much zero.

I'm on the Mirena.

It sucked for the first 3 months, but things are improving.

I went off the bcp recently, but we're not TTC yet. Right now, we're using condoms and trying to avoid fertile times. I don't really notice a difference in how I feel on versus off the bcp, so I may go back on it later...

Nothing! We plan to TTC for #2 soon. We don't even prevent, but so far so good!

(Went on the mini pill while breastfeeding and also tried Paragard after that, but it did not work for me)

Withdrawal. We did nothing between baby 1 and 2 and I conceived when DS was 4 months old. We solely used PNP after number 2 and the first month we didn't pull out (on purpose), at 16 months PP, I got pregnant. That's our plan again until we decide we're done and will do something permanent.

I was on the pill for years...then I switched to the ring around the time DH and I got together...after DD1 I went back on the ring...now after DD2 (who will likely be our last) I am planning to go on Mirena until we are ready to make things permanent...

Nada, and I won't ever again. I mean if we are preventing, probably just pull and pray. I doubt DH would use condoms again. When we are truly done with LO's I will either get my tubes tied, or DH will get a vasectomy.

Mini pill

Didn't do much of anything besides timing/condoms for after lo1. I'm on bcp now. I'm supposed to get a mirena but it's hard to get in to the OB's office (they insist it be on my period) when I just started a new job less than a month ago.

@HazelEyes: I still paid $90 for the ring between dd1 and dd2 which was post obamacare! Other than my breast pump all my insurance/medical costs have gone up as a result of obamacare

I had the Mirena for 1.5 years after DD. Just got it out a week or so ago and have been using condoms until we're ready to TTC #2.

@HazelEyes: @Mrs D: Most birth control is "free" now under the health care act, but a few plans were grandfathered in to exclude certain options (namely, the Nuvaring, unfortunately). My BC pills pre-LO and all the costs of my IUD post-LO have been covered in full.

Mirena IUD before and after LO. I am NOT comfortable with an oops baby, so I am not comfortable with anything less protective and I love that there is no user error involved.

Before LO, I had also tried pretty much everything: shot, pills, the patch, etc. I had a lot of trouble with multiple types of pills *unexplained sickness each month, even on low dose), and for me the IUD works well.

I was on BC pill before kiddos. I haven't been on meds since. We just pull and pray. It works for us I am presently pregnant with number 3. When we are done DH will be taking permanent measures.

We were charting, using opks, and using condoms. Good thing we want one more though because our method failed! After we are done with kids, one or both of us are getting fixed.
