@Alba4: We used it successfully while temping to avoid pregnancy for two years before TTCing the first time. This time, it failed (a true oops), but it also worked for us prior to that.

BCP before we got married. Had a Mirena for 2.5 years after baby 1. Had a second one inserted after baby 2 but it perforated my uterus sooooo back to the drawing board with BCP until I can convince DH to get a vasectomy.

@Alba4: Planned Parenthood considers it effective if used correctly. I think 4/100 will get pregnant in a year if used correctly 100% of the time and I'm not comfortable with hormones or IUDs, and I just don't enjoy condoms (and they fail sometimes, too). Pull n pray is a better birth control than not doing anything and I think for exclusive couples who know they want another one (just aren't sure when) it's a totally legitimate form of BC. Worked for us for 16 months and we got our ideal spacing for #3.

Just pull and pray between kids. Then DH will get snipped when we are done. We want 3-4 not too far apart anyways.
Pull and pray worked for us for over a year before ds and then again after him.

Mirena IUD after LO1 - it's been a good experience so will probably do the same after hypothetical LO2. Whenever we are finished DH will get a vasectomy.
