...do you find yourself saying "O" instead of "peak" when you talk about your charts online? I do!
I realized this afternoon when I typed "12 DPO" that I really meant "peak plus 12." It seems less confusing that way to people who don't chart using the exact same method. But I guess it could also be more confusing, because peak day and O day aren't *exactly* the same thing. If I'm not online, I do use "peak" when talking to DH or my doctor, though.
What do you do?

I definitely said "O" and never "peak" but I didn't realize there were different models!

@lovehoneybee: yeah, I think there are, or at least, Creighton is a little different than just temping/using FF. Instead of estimating O day based on OPKs and confirming with temp, Creighton tracks CM, and you record those. The last day of good "peak type" CM (so, either clear, stretchy over 1 inch, or lubricative) is peak day. The research suggests that if you make good observations, almost all women will O in the three days following peak. So, peak can be a few to 96 hours before O.
In some ways, it's a little easier, because you don't have to use BBT. We used temping as well, but mostly because my CM can be a little dicey. But the peak window has always been true for me-I usually ovulated about 36-48 hours after peak. And we used peak-1 and peak+1 this cycle with pretty good results 
ETA: I guess before I typed that long spiel out, I should have asked-did you use Creighton? Just generally curious how many people do. I know there are a few bees on here that do.

I don't chart Creighton (I use CCL, but my instructors were very clear that we can't do an exact pinpoint of ovulation), but I also use O if talking online. It's less confusing to people who aren't as knowledgeable in a given method.

@LovelyPlum: That's interesting! No, I used OPKs + BBT. I did check my CM/CP, but my CM was never really very good (I finally started using Pre-seed) so I'm not sure that I could have predicted ovulation based on it. (Or CP, because it always felt about the same to me

@lovehoneybee: I'm terrible, terrible with CP. It literally never feels different. And even when I did notice position, it was always if it happened to be low when I was already pregnant, which freaked me the heck out. So no more CP for me...though no real need now Anyways, we like Creighton because we got to work one-on-one with the woman who trained us to do it. It taught me a lot about my cycles!
@LittleFox: that's what I thought, too, that it's less confusing. Except today, when I typed out "DPO" and confused myself
