Apparently some teens in NYC pay $1 a day to store their phones since they aren't allowed in the schools. Would you pay this? Or have your child pay?

@chopsuey119: Some of the schools have metal detectors to limit gun violence and they catch phones too.

Wow, that is SO bizarre!! I don't know if I would do it everyday, but on days that I might need it (going somewhere after school or something), I probably would.

Weird. They can't even keep it in their lockers? I agree that
