@Navy_Mommy: I delivered with a fever too. Not sure if it was from my water being broken for nearly 48 hours or from the sheer bodily strain of my horrible, horrible labor.

I was 39 weeks + 3 days along. My water was heavily laden with meconium. Pea soup. I delivered vaginally the following afternoon.

@loveisstrange: two OBs actually offered the c-section. I had to really talk to them about giving me the option of induction. The only reason I felt ok with it was because I was so close to my due date anyways. I would make the same choice again because I'm glad she didn't get SO massive going too far past 40.

I was induced at 38+5 because my water broke naturally and labor failed to progress. They used pitocin and everything went perfectly, I delivered my son vaginally 7.5 hours after they began the pit.

@loveisstrange: they didn't offer the induction to me here in Canada either. I only got one because my blood pressure went weird, my water broke and nothing was happening.
I wonder how long they would have let my pregnancy go had I not gone in feeling funny.

Induced at 38 weeks due to IUGR. I had a vaginal delivery with practically no pictocin and an epidural. My birth experience was great!

I was induced at 40 weeks for high BP. It was a fast and successful (but painful contractions compared to my first, natural labor) vaginal delivery. I had the epidural once I got to 8cm's.
