My DS was BIG into arts and crafts from age 1 -

Along came DD and I assumed the same.....nope..... It was probably 3.5 before she actually wanted to color or paint - now at 4 she loves to color and paint and do other art projects with me and DS

Still zero interest here too. I hate to say "oh it's a boy thing" because I do think that both boys and girls can love arts and crafts, but he hates getting messy. He would much rather be running, jumping, playing trains/cars/trucks, pretty much anything except arts and crafts. I can sometimes get him to sit down and color, but it never lasts longer than 5 minutes.

@hilsy85: Not arts and crafts, but we bought her some trains or Valentine's day, and they honestly kept her attention for an hour! I was shocked but she just drove them up and down the tracks and on her table. Does L have any interested in those?

She *just* got into it around 3 yrs old because they do a lot of crafts and coloriing at school. But, it's still very minimal. One thing she really does enjoy are putting those foam stickers on paper. Not sure what it is about those (maybe because she can take the backing off and put them where ever?), but it keeps her occupied for a long time (until they're all gone)
