What will your LO do during the time away from school?
This is the first year we don't have to scramble for childcare because I am a SAHM. It was a pain to get sitters when we both worked!

Our daycare is closed this week of Christmas. I just took the PTO

I'm off work until January so I will be hanging out with her. I have been really looking forward to it..... but then I was home alone with her today and my nerves were frayed by 4pm!

Our school is closed Dec 21st - Jan 3rd ... Such a long break. Unfortunately, every single kid at her little preschool (there are 14 of them) got Hand, Foot and Mouth, so we're on quarantine for at least a week.
I work from home, so I decided that I'd take the entire two weeks "off" with her. I hope we can visit our museum next week, since we just bought a membership.

We have a toddler at home, so my mom will watch both of them. I also work from home, so these couple of weeks have been slower, so I get to play with them, too.
I'm hoping for some play dates the week after Christmas with her school friends. I keep waiting for another mom to volunteer their home (ours is kinda small, plus we have two dogs), but I'll offer our place if I don't hear anything by this weekend.

Yay SAHM! I was a SAHM by the time our kids went on a school schedule so we haven't had to scramble for child care, thankfully.

Thankfully. DH is off, too! I have a few shifts during the week

my work is flexible, but I have a Jan 1 deadline that I'm scrambling to meet
so I'll be working on the days dh has off (ie xmas and the weekend; we're Jewish anyway so it doesn't matter) and then I'll watch her when he has work. he might need to take more time off though depending how this weekend goes...

My husband and I each took a day off and then my mom will watch them the other days.

I'm self-employed, so I took the time off. My kids are off from 12/23 until 1/11!

Luckily my MILs work shuts down for the 2 weeks and she graciously offers to watch them for us! She even offers to keep them overnight if we want a few nights of adult time! We are taking her up on it

I'm a SAHM, and the kids are doing pretty well at home. LO2 finally gets to sleep in and not have to work around big brother's schedule.
