MIL lives 7hrs by car (or a flight) away. She met LO as soon as we would let her, which was 3 weeks. FIL lives 3 hrs by car and met her at 3 weeks as well.
Although I think it is bizarre that after that week when MIL was in town with SIL and our nephew (and my FIL came 4 times that week)... he didn't see her again until Christmas when she was 7 months old. And DH's grandparents who are 3-4 hours/way and in good health (like drive to florida yearly, have driven to NYC 11 hours away several times to see nephew) have never met LO yet at 9mo.
I am not really offended though. I sort of feel like they don't really want to be a part of our life and... ok. She doesn't need people in her life who aren't into her.

DD1 - MIL met her at 10 weeks. FILs at nearly 2 years when we traveled to them.
DD2 - MIL has passed, and FILs will meet her when we travel to them.
I don't really care though. I know my FILs will never come to our house 4 states away and I don't have a huge desire to travel to them for our vacations.

My EDD for LO #1 is April 6, the in-laws already have a flight booked to come visit starting May 9. So probably in the neighborhood of 4 weeks old.

They are 3 hours away. The day we got home from the hospital they snuck out of work early, drove to our house, stayed only an hour or so and then had to hit the road again.
I think she could make the effort!

My mom still hasn't met A or anyone in my family for that matter. Instead, I'm getting asked when I'm coming to visit? They live 8 hour drive/1.5 hour plane ride away.
MIL & SIL met A the same day she was born.
FIL lives 3 hours away and has a bad back, drove up to meet A at 2 weeks.
