Ugh. 3:50? Sorry mama J is usually up around 5:30. I pretty much let him tear the place apart and share my bagel while I watch the news and drink my coffee.
Trying to get up the energy to work out (while he eats Cheerios / tries to climb on me / gets into trouble.

We are outside on the patio. I try to keep them quiet until 6 or 6:30. After that the toys get brought out and we usually have to start breakfast.

Up by 5:30 each day. We usually do tv/milk for the first bit (depending on how long his interest will last) and then just start our day.

@MrsF: ughhhh so frustrating! Usually I can get her back down by not today. She has kind of a cold so I'm blaming it on that. Of course when I'm solo parenting too!
@T.H.O.U.: I wish she could have outside time but it is 21 degrees here!
@FaithFertility: we are watching Elmo and she is climbing too, I'm trying to keep from falling asleep
@bloved: I feel like school days aren't so bad, but weekends....ughhhhh!

@matador84: I hear you. I would love to sleep in on a weekend. I am currently pregnant with number 2 and am hopeful this one is a good sleeper!! I have not slept past 7 in over 2 years!!

She lays in our bed watching Mickey until an acceptable hour! The worst is she slept at my I laws 2 nights this week and they had to wake her at 7 to leave! Here she's up at 445-5,530 if we are lucky! Wtf?!?!

Weird thing that might help? DS usually sleeps until 730am but we had some days recently where he was awake and crying at like 4-5am and not going back down. I realized that I felt cold walking back to our room and thought the house must get cold at that hour. The heater kicked on then so we figured DS was waking from the cold and then the loud furnace noise was probably keeping him up! So we bumped our thermostat up before we went to bed and that got him back to normal wake times. DS can't sleep in fleece because he runs so hot so we use cotton PJs with a thick cotton bag and socks with a Sherpa blanket in the bed he usually kicks off so I thought that would be enough but I guess not with the cold snap we've had lately.

Have you tried putting them to bed later? My son goes to bed around 9 every night and doesn't wake up until 8:30-9 in the morning. We've tried moving bedtime earlier, but he just won't have it!

@Thrifty Mama: nope! I have too much stuff to do at night to keep them up later and 8 is already bed time. the price i pay!

@matador84: my twins are up between 5:00-5:45 each day but we don't get them until 6:15. They have a toddler clock and know we don't come in until it's green. I need my coffee and shower!

Ugh my boys are early risers. Usually up between 5-6. We eat breakfast first thing, they kind of run around the house and play until we have something to do. In warmer weather we sometimes play outside but the houses are close together and I don't want them waking the neighbors at 6 in the morning!

DS has always been an early riser. 5-6am is normal. We have breakfast and put on cartoons. Usually about half an hour after waking up he'll start to play. During the week it isn't a big deal, we have to be out of the house by 7am. On the weekends it is pretty much play by yourself until we wake up a bit.

When I'm trying to keep the house quiet I've taken LO1 out for breakfast or grocery shopping. All the 24 hour restaurants are gross so I try to wait for 6am.
I currently have a 5 mo that loves to wake at 4:30. I watch the late night shows from the night before.
