LO has had a cold for a good week now, and it will not let up. She seems happy overall but has the yuckiest runny nose. LO2 had a cold as well but it was gone in 2-3 days.
If your LO catches a cold, how long does it typically hang on for?

We've been battling a cold for 9 days now. Today is significantly better than last week but his constant runny nose and wet cough won't go away.

@Bao: thanks, hopefully yours does too! M has asthma so that always makes stuff linger a little longer.

We are going on 16 days here. It's her first one ever and she just started daycare too. She was getting better towards the 10 day mark. She mucus went from highlighter yellow/neon green to clear and now back to the yellow/green. I honestly think the lo's are just passing it back and forth to each other. I also have a sick husband for the last 9 days.

C has had a runny nose forever. It comes and goes but I feel like she is just going to have it from Sept through April. But it's mostly clear, so I don't really think it's a true cold?

DS has only had one cold so far (only 17 months old) and it lasted only 2-3 days. DH and I had it at the same time and had it for over a week!
DD got a cold when she was six weeks old but it was better by 2 days, thankfully.

Generally a week of bad cold, maybe 2 for it to really be gone. But there are different colds. I'm on my 3rd or 4th week of trying to kick my cold.

When DD first started daycare her colds would last about a week, but now she rarely gets sick and they usually only last about 2 days. She gets over them quick.
DS didn't get his first real cold until about 2 months into daycare - I think it's because he was always exposed to DD's germs... and when he does get sick it's only 2-3 days too.
