I just noticed a few days ago that LO has eczema on the back of her legs, and I'm wondering what is the best thing to use on it?

Someone I know uses aquaphor. Not sure if there's something better though!

We use Aveeno Baby Eczema cream daily and then OTC hydrocortisone or prescription hydrocortisone, depending on the location, severity, etc...

My sister has it on her face and has been using hydrocortisone her whole life. If it is super bad you can see about getting an RX strength.

@Honeybee: I don't think it's too bad, but it is getting worse, at least since last week.

@Bao: I don't think it would hurt to ask. Ours told us it gets worse in the winter, so you might want to get the prescription just in case. After we used it consistently for a while, we didn't need to use it as much anymore. Now I just do aquaphor, or the hydro on specific trouble spots.

@cmomma17: Ok, she goes in a few weeks so until then I will see what something OTC does until her pedi can look at it

@Bao: I would get a prescription. DS's started up right around 6 months and it's been pretty consistent ever since. If you get a prescription, you'll have just in case this is recurring.
ETA: Ignore this unnecessary post

My baby has a tiny patch on her cheek. I have been using coconut oil on it, but am going to get some Aveeno cream.

We use Aquaphor regularly, but per our ped's advice, we also use hydrocortisone ointment when it's particularly red, dry, or itchy!
We also have prescriptions for Elcon and Desiton (sp?), though we use those sparingly!
