Do you buy the toy so your LO can play with it at home? Or is it better to only have that toy at daycare to keep them looking forward to going? I'm way over thinking this.
Just curious what works best for the rest of you. We just started daycare.

I have thought about this, too. DD loves the. Disney princess Castle at daycare and I thought of getting it for her birthday but don't want to ruin the fun of it there. But I would like to have her have something here if she really loves it...Such a toss up.

The stuff at my son's daycare is pretty generic, so, no we haven't bought anything specifically because he likes it at daycare.
I suspect as he gets older and they have more manipulative materials, we'll get ideas, though.

I have before and it usually just sits at home - I guess its not as exciting

We always say we're going to buy our own, but they're at daycare more than they are at home, so we usually end up not buying it! Our daycare has so much. Same goes for books.

I wouldn't buy the same thing, just so they look forward to it at daycare...it probably won't get played with much at home.

She loves certain things at church on Sundays, and I've bought one...but she doesn't want anything to do with it at home! So I'm in the 'leave it at daycare' camp.

I let him enjoy it at daycare!

Daycare gave M her favorite toy when she moved rooms. Then she lost interest in it. Haha.

Daycare gave him a particular toy he looooves at her place for Christmas.
But his favourite toy is definitely his mini hockey stick and ball and preeettttyyyy sure they don't have that at daycare lol.
