Do you also put them in one for their naps during the day?
I usually just put him down in footed sleep n plays or whatever he's wearing but I decided to try the sleep sack today to see if it will lengthen out his naps.

Nope, she takes fairly long naps as is and I think it helps her to distinguish naps and nighttime sleep.

I tried it recently for naps and LO falls asleep fast!

Yup, I put her in a sleep sack for all sleeping in her crib. If she happens to nap in the swing then I don't do a sleep sack. Day care can't use them though so she naps withoutone there.

yup sleep sack for naps. it is a big sleep cue. olive knows it's time to sleep when the sleep sack goes on.

@BelugaBean: That's been my concern as well...except most of his naps are only 30 minutes long, if that, and the past few days he's been up every.single.hour all night long, and I'm exhausted!

Yep, sleep sack for naps. It's part of his general sleep routine. Only time that he naps without one is when he's in the carseat.

Yep, sleep sacks for all sleep at home. His naps are always more than 1 hour (usually 1.5) and he STTN. At daycare, he gets a blanket, though.

when I was using a sleepsack for LO, I didn't use it for naps. but then she decided she hated it anyway so we stopped all around.

Yes...sleep sack for all sleep in his crib. He knows that once his sleep sack is on, it's time for sleeping.

sleep sack for all sleep here, too!
he totally knows it's time to sleep when he gets into his sleep sack.
i don't know what to do when it gets too warm for his long sleeved sack, though! he loves to rub the soft fuzzy sleeve on his cheeks

Yup DD is in her ZipadeeZip for all crib sleep, naps and nighttime. It's sort of her lovey as well since she likes to chew the sleeves and sometimes carries it around the house.

Sleep sack for all sleep!! I even send one to daycare everyday to help with her daytime naps there. It's one of her biggest sleep cues.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
No. I keep her in whatever she's wearing. She is a good napper so I don't worry about it.
nectarine / 2274 posts
No, LO will only nap on our bed and sleeps with his Little Giraffe blanket. At night, he sleeps in a sleep sack and in his crib.
honeydew / 7917 posts
Yes. When LO used to wear sleep sacks, it would be for both naps and nigh time sleep.

Nope, sleep sack only for night time; although, this topic makes me think I might try one for nap time too...hmm...something to think about!
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
No, just an A&A blanket usually. I used the sleep sack swaddle sometimes when she was a NB for naps though!
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
No. Daycare won't use them, so I don't use them at home during the weekend days either.
For naps at home during the day on weekends, I put her in the swing so she is still cradled/contained similar to the sleep sack. Or she'll nap in her carseat while we are out and about.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
Well, his first nap today was just over an hour long, and he's at 1 hour 10 minutes and counting for his second. Much better than half an hour, but he was up so much last night that I don't know if it's the sleep sack, just being tired or a combination. Going to keep trying it to see if they consistently hit 1+ hours.
