Did you eat before the surgery? My surgery was originally scheduled for 9am but my OB just moved it to 5pm.

Mine was scheduled for the morning, but due to emergencies it was pushed back to just after 5pm. They didn’t let me eat until it was over
(I was so freaking hungry!)

@autumnlove: It was so hard because I'm a total grazer and eat like every 2 hours. I couldn't have anything after midnight the night before so I pigged out as soon as the c-section was finished!

Mine was scheduled for early on the morning. A couple days before it, my water broke (late afternoon), and they had me come in. They then "rescheduled" the C for about 11 that night...because I had eaten recently and they wanted that out of my system. (Obviously, I wasn't allowed to eat while waiting.) Can you change it to morning?

Mine was a scheduled c-section but I was in the hospital from the night before and once they started my induction that morning they didnt let me eat. I dont think you should eat because I was really nauseous after getting my spinal and I was thankful I had an empty stomach

I wasn't allowed to eat for 8 hours prior to surgery. Did they give you a set of instructions yet?

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Not yet! He told me no food after midnight for the original 9am surgery...
