Yes, if he's the one going out then it only makes sense for him to pick them up. He'll usually snap a pic of the old tampon box or pad bag before going to make sure he grabs the right ones.
cherry / 131 posts
He would probably complain a bit, but get them if I definitely needed him to.
honeydew / 7589 posts
Of course! He's bought tampons, pads, underwear, bras, nursing pads, etc.
persimmon / 1481 posts
I think he would, but I'd rather do it since I don't always use the same kind and most of the time I'd rather be the one to choose.
cherry / 150 posts
He *might* if I really needed them and begged but I'm certain he'd buy the wrong ones or wouldn't pay even attention in the aisle. I'll just go to Costco and buy the big pack that lasts 6 months, lol
coconut / 8854 posts
Nope never. He gets so embarrassed. I even had to buy condoms for us!
coconut / 8854 posts
@Sofiel: I buy my tampons at Costco too!!! For the exact same reason!
pomelo / 5820 posts
Yep, he'll buy whatever! As long as I tell him exactly what to get. He's not embarrassed by much.
watermelon / 14206 posts
I think he would but I probably won't ask him. I do the grocery shopping anyways.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
yup. he was a trooper after I had LO..various pads, colace, probiotics, tucks pads, dermaplast..lol!
editing: he did not bring home the ones I asked for (always!) but instead, the giganto Poise/depends ones. he tried!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@Cherrybee: well, I wouldn't say he's mature. he acts like he's a 17 year old boy sometimes! lol.
pomegranate / 3779 posts
I have asked him to in the past and he doesn't mind, but he usually brings home 2 or 3 types and they aren't the ones I asked for.
pear / 1599 posts
Yep! He has also returned them cause I got the wrong ones and he also got me the super big pads after I had DD. Nothing tends to embarrass or bother him, same with my dad. He always got tampons and pads for me and my sisters when he went grocery shopping when we were teenagers.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
Yep! He has before and doesn't mind.
I'm sure it's not his favorite thing to buy at the store, but he's never made an issue out of it.
nectarine / 2220 posts
Nope. He won't purchase anything remotely embarrassing.
He made me go myself the day after LO was born to purchase stool softener because he wouldn't be seen coming through the till with it.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
My husband went out to gets necessities during a snow storm. When he called to ask if I needed anything, he totally balked when I said tampons. I basically told him he needed to get over himself and buy them (and he did).
grapefruit / 4120 posts
Yes but I don't want him to. Too confusing to explain the right thing!
persimmon / 1364 posts
Yes DH has bought me anything I've asked for. Tampons, pregnancy tests, UTI relief pills, etc etc. I would do the same for him
nectarine / 2994 posts
Yup! I've only had to ask him to get them for me once and he returned home with the correct ones as well as ice cream, chocolate and a gossip magazine
cherry / 206 posts
He does all the time and even bought the pads for postpartum. Have to be very specific though. I even show him a picture or text him a link to the product.
grapefruit / 4089 posts
He would, but I'd have to be super specific (like, text him a picture) because that aisle is overwhelming, even to me! I'm sure he wouldn't be super thrilled about it, but he would definitely get them.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
he has in the past and doesn't mind, but I usually don't send him~
papaya / 10343 posts
I've never asked and don't have much reason to because I do almost all of our shopping. Before we had LO I think if I'd asked he might've complained. But at this point I think he's seen too much and is un-embarassable.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Hubs pretty much refuses to do any shopping whatsoever (even for himself), BUT immediately after Xander was born and I was nursing 24/7, he handled the shopping and was totally fine buying me pads! I just have to be really specific about which ones to get and where he can find them!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
Yes, but I have to be very specific and write down exactly what I want, and he'll still send me a picture message verifying it's what I want before he'll buy it.
It's been a while (IUD) but he used to go for the whole shebang and bring back Midol and ice cream along with them
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
Yep! He bought them for me when we were dating once. I was at his house and he had to run out and grab something, so I asked him to get them for me.
honeydew / 7091 posts
I only had to ask him once (PP), and he sent me like 20 pictures of all the different boxes so I could just tell him which ones I wanted. Apparently there were more options than I remembered for pads!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
He would have no problem with it, but he may need to take a pic of what I usually get since an isle full of these lady things might get confusing haha!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Totally! He'll try to bury it or disguise it in the cart, but he doesn't mind getting them for me.
nectarine / 2358 posts
He physically would but I am kind of picky about the products I use down there so I would rather just get them myself. Plus DH is a terrible shopper. He just grabs things that have a similar color and shape to what he normally uses. He will often come home with an off brand or two shampoos instead of some conditioner or things like that. He just doesn't pay attention so I'm sure he'd bring home wingless or something like that. No thanks.
