I would definitely consider it but in our situation, I'm likely to be the one to want more kids than my husband. I think he would consider it, too, but like you, he would want to wait for the kids to become easier to handle.

Well I think its all about what a couple can handle! If one thinks they want 3-4 and the other only wants 1-2.....I would be concerned that the one wanting only 1-2 would be completely overwhelmed.

I think it's important to discuss children before getting married. No matter what though, it's always something that can be figured out!

Nowe myself.....I would have never thought that I would want 4 children, but after DH and I discussed (he wants a large family) I'm all for it!

Luckily Hubs and I both want two kids, but if he wanted more, I would consider it. If it was something like I wanted 2 and he wanted 4, I think a good compromise would be having 3, or something like that. It also might depend on the genders of our children. Like if we had two and they were both boys or both girls, I might be more inclined to have another in hopes of having the other gender. If we already had a boy and a girl, hopefully Hubs might be willing to settle for what we have.

But I would definitely consider his wishes. We're financially well off and would be able to support more than two children, so if he wanted more, I would definitely think about it.

I think I would consider it. Although if I were adamant on stopping, we probably would not really consider having more. Luckily we don't have this problem... we're both pretty set on stopping after 2. We have seen our limits and we know them well. But neither of us are opposed to more children... it's just a lack of time, energy, and resources! If we get bored and rich and have a lot of help around, maybe!!

Dh does want more kids than I do...he wants 4 or 5, whereas I feel that 2 or 3 would be ideal. I figure we'll cross that bridge when we come to it--2 or 3 kids still seems like a looong ways off! And so many things can change--I think once he experiences baby related sleep deprivation, he might change his mind

I think if anything we'll have the opposite problem- me wanting more kids than DH. It is something I would consider. We're taking it one kid at a time.
