If you are how much do you "charge" the other members.
We currently have 4 on ours, the two of us plus my ILs. We were only asking them for their line plus splitting the unlimited texting. We only added unlimited texting because of MIL.
BIL also wants to join our plan but I think I'm going to ask him to also split the Family Plan price along with his line, texting, data and taxes. It'll still be half of what he's currently paying a month!

My dad is on our plan and pays $60 a month. Our bill is $200 total. I don't even remember how we came up with that amount for him to pay. My SO's sister was on our account before my dad and she paid 1/3 the bill each month (it was a little lower then, so she paid a little over $50 a month I think).

I'm on one with my brother, SIL, brother, and DH. We take the entire cost of the plan and split it equally 5 ways. It's easier that way than charging according to usage. For all of us, our cell is our only/primary phone so we're pretty equal anyway.

I'm on one with DH, my mom and sister (Dad has one through work). We split the bill 4 ways even though me, mom and sister all have grandfathered unlimited data and DH doesn't. We share minutes and all have unlimited texting so it's the easiest way.

There are 4 of us on our plan. MIL doesn't use data, so she just pays her line charges. DH, BIL, and I each pay our line charges plus 1/3 of the data fee.

I'm the account holder with me, the DH, my dad and my niece.
I take all the extra features (like iphone data) away to get a base price and divide that by 4. Comes to about 28. Then I separate the unlimited messaging plan by 4 and add an associated iPhone data plans.
I pay abou 140 for my and DH's iPhone with data. My niece who has an iPhone pays about 70. My dad (no iPhone) pays $45. Actually, I split my dad's plan by 3 and have my siblings and I each pay $15 a month for my dads phone.
I created an excel spreadsheet where I put in the total of the bills and any unusual or unexpected fees and it calculates how much everyone owes.

I'm on a family plan. DH is the account holder. At one point, he had one of his younger brothers on the plans until he abused the privilege. DH was not charging him at all even when several months of plan abuse increased the bill a couple hundred dollars.
My aunt has her adult children on her plan. Every month they fight over minutes and the charges. One of her kids is married, btw.

@locavore_mama: I found that by have a 5th line actually makes things cheaper. My mom used to have a cell phone and she was on my plan. We decided she would never use it and we could just call my parents land line if we needed her.

My MIL, even though she said no to paying data, continually browses the web once or twice which means we pay for her one time data usage. Whatcha gonna do. I asked DH to mention it to her but he wouldn't.
@bluestriped bee: aw thanks! It's OK. We're not going to charge the ILs more. So I have a good idea on what ot charge BIL but I need to hear from him his average minute usage ot see if we need to upgrade our plan and what data plan he wants.

Just DH & I on our plan. I'm the account holder because my work discount is greater than his. He pays the monthly bill though
