Oh, Sandy. That sounds utterly terrifying. I hope that you get some clearer answers soon, and that your little girl has the best outcome possible. If there's anything useful I can do, just let me know.

Sandy, I'm praying for you and baby!!
I know this is of little comfort, but I had a kidney transplant over 17 years ago (I was 12) and was on dialysis before that. It was a much different scenario than what you are going through, but I just wanted you to know that there can be positive outcomes! If you have any questions, please please please let me know. I'm certainly no expert but can lend an ear at the very least. Wall me if you need anything!

I keep thinking of you update us if/when you can
Will you for sure be out of the hospital by the weekend or are they uncertain for now? Sunny and I are thinking of running some things by but we don't want to overwhelm you. Hugs!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers - they mean so much right now
Baby was monitored all yesterday and last night and so far the nurses say she's doing great. Still waiting to talk to the doc today. I know we'll have a follow up scan today to check fluid levels and I have another steroid shot today. Hopefully we'll hear some good news and I'll just be able to follow up on an outpatient basis going forward.
@HLK208: thank you for thinking of us - I've been telling everyone not to visit or call bc I just get really emotional and cry when I talk to people. I'm lucky that my mom had this week off work so she's taking care of LO so DH can stay with me. I will know for sure if I'm going home tomorrow after the scan I think.
@BandDmommy: you ladies are so sweet - I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. Our first goal is to keep her in there as long as there is no risk to her for cord clamping or running out of fluid and then making sure she can make it through if they get her out. I guess bc she has low fluid her lungs may be even less developed than a preemie.
@petunia354: thank you for reaching out and offering to be a resource for me when we get to that point with our little girl. Did you also have dialysis? I guess she has to meet a weight requirement before she is eligible for a transplant.
