I agree, that sounds awesome! Happy birthday! I take days off now and then (sometimes with DH) to unwind. We have no family here so it's the only way we can get a break.

@snowjewelz: i know I always think that too! I paid for this!! Ha ha. And DS1 is having a party today so no chance he wants to stay home anyway. DS2 though is 10 months and would certainly prefer to be with mama..

That's being a GOOD mom. I used to commute with my oldest and hour each way, because she was in a daycare next to my work. I'm teacher. When we got out for summer vacay, it was June 22, and I'd already paid through the end of the month. 2 days, I drove an hour each way--twice!--so I could drop her and go do stuff by myself all day.
