EDD: First week of October
When Did You Find Out?: Last night! It was the first day of a missed period. I took a $1 test from Walmart (the kind with the eye dropper 
)
Child Number: This will be our first (and only)
Where You Live: Kauai, Hawaii
What kind of provider will you see?: A doctor at a birthing center
When's Your First Appointment?: I will be calling Monday to schedule.
What kind of birth do you want?: I'd like to aim for a drug-free birth, but I am keeping myself open to options... whatever is safest for baby. NO EPISIOTOMY, that is fosho.
What You're Most Excited For: Telling my mom... in March. Maybe April. My parents moved to the Mainland so I don't see them regularly, maybe once a year. Her birthday is in April so maybe I'll do one of those "Happy Birthday Grandma" cards?
What You're Most Scared About: Miscarriage. Birth defects/abnormalities. Cesarean section.
Symptoms so far: Only ONE sore/growing breast (on the left). More snacking than usual. Some breakouts. Difficulty sleeping/staying asleep. Calling my pit bull a "big sister" every time I talk to her.

Can't wait to meet other moms-to-be! Be my friend! I am totally keeping everything a secret from everyone except my husband until we are out of the first trimester (due to a previous miscarriage) so you ladies are my only hope for decent baby-conversation.

EDD: 3rd October 2014
When Did You Find Out?: first BFP on Saturday but digital confirmed yesterday as first BFP was so faint.
Child Number: 1
Where You Live: Scotland,UK
What kind of provider will you see?: Doctor, then a midwife after 8 weeks
When's Your First Appointment?: late this week with doctor then will get referral to midwife at 8 weeks
What kind of birth do you want?: one with a happy ending, I do not care about the process. I will go for natural with epidural I think but not care as long as happy healthy baby at the end.
What You're Most Excited For: The first scan and telling our parents. Also decorating the nursery and having a bump!
What You're Most Scared About: Miscarriage, how my body will change, stretch marks, being off work for a whole year and how they will cope!
Symptoms so far: sore tummy, like I've done 100 sit ups a day, easing off now though. Starving at night time and have no appetite in the morning at all.

The only other questions I thought you could add, how long we're you ttc? I was 8 cycles in before my BFP.
Age? I am 27, will be 28 when baby is here. DH is 33.

@Mrs tartan: Totally forgot about stretch marks... something to add to my fears list. Scotland sounds cool, how's the weather? We're the same age, except I'll still be 27 upon birth. My husband is 30. What do you guys do for a living?

When Did You Find Out?: yesterday I had a faint line and today it was solid
How long were you TTC?: 5 months if you count our first BFP that ended in miscarriage.
Child Number: #2, our son is 17.5 months
Where You Live: Boston, MA
What kind of provider will you see?: we will see our same OB from before.
When's Your First Appointment?: haven't called yet.
What kind of birth do you want?: hoping for another med free birth if possible.
What You're Most Excited For: hearing the heartbeat and feeling movement.
What You're Most Scared About: another miscarriage.
Symptoms so far: tired, bloated, lightheaded, crampy

@Mrs tartan: this was cycle 7 for me. I am officially a statistic! Part of the 85% who are successful in their first year. I work in education and my husband is a firefighter. Personal assistant sounds snazzy... Any perks?

@mrskoloa: yes, I haven't told him yet. We are away do the weekend and I was hoping to have DS wear his shirt and see DHs reaction I also want to take a digital just to be extra sure and I have one at home I plan to use tomorrow. The last two times I waited a day too, so I could tell DH in a special way. I guess that part is pretty important to me

@bushelandapeck: Definitely not! I should have, but a previous miscarriage kind of put a damper on that. When I was pregnant the first time, we were both at the ER because I was losing the pregnancy... I had had no idea I was pregnant when we went to the hospital; I woke up with intense pain, I thought it was appendicitis. So this time I just texted him a picture of the positive test. His response was: "??" Then he called. He is very cautious. Once the danger zone has passed he'll be excited.

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I can't believe there is already an October 2014 board!!! I'm an October 2013 momma. It's the best one of the year to have a little one. (In my opinion

I'm an October birthday myself so super happy that baby and I will (hopefully) share a birthday month and be the same star sign! Our wedding anniversary is also October 1st so I am starting to push on sep 30th, haha.
@mrskoloa: PA is not as glam as it sounds, I organise someone else's interesting life, sit in an office and try not to get caught surfing the net on hellobee or ebay.

@Mrs tartan: my husband is a Scorpio but I am a Capricorn. Actually I read an article a while ago saying that our planet shifted orbit or something so all of our star signs are off by a month, but I really FEEL like a Capricorn! I wonder if I am a Capricorn because of my personality or because my mom's extensive horoscope book told me what to be. I know what you mean about not getting caught surfing on the web; my day is a series of meetings with teachers and I often have an hour or two of downtime between with nothing to do.

ok, I'm going to take the plunge . . . really hopeful for this one but feeling cautious.
EDD: Oct 8
Age: I'm 32, DH is 33
When Did You Find Out?: had an line after the time expired on Fri (10dpiui) that turned real on Sat (11dpiui)
How long were you trying: since last summer. we got pregnant fairly quickly but I had my 3rd chemical (2 before LO) so we headed back to the RE and have been working with them since the fall. have PCOS but the repeat chemicals are unexplained. this was my second IUI
Child Number: #2 (LO turned two on Friday! what a great day to get a second line!)
Where You Live: Boston
What kind of provider will you see?: RE to start, then OB, although we may move in which case that might change
When's Your First Appointment?: since I'm seeing the RE I should have 2 betas this week and then will have a couple of earlier than normal appts. the one perk of fertility problems . . .
What kind of birth do you want?: I had a med-free birth at a major hospital for LO, with a doula. it was fantastic, but as I said if we move that might change and I'll likely look into birth centers
What You're Most Excited For: seeing a healthy baby on the screen. 2nd tri - past the worrying and sickness! feeling movement (hopefully even a little earlier this time). seeing LO become a big sister
What You're Most Scared About: losing another one, health problems for baby, 1st tri with a toddler
Symptoms so far: cramps like crazy. I can also feel the fatigue and light nausea rising, but nothing too bad. definitely have a love-hate relationship with symptoms . . .
I also haven't told DH yet. especially with the chemicals this part of things (where it's a line but might not be real) just confuses him. he also flew out today to interview for the job that might cause us to move, so he didn't need this on his plate (he's definitely nervous about having 2!). I'm thinking maybe I will wait until my first beta results. I have a big sister t-shirt that I will at least break out to do something cute when we tell the grandparents (after the 1st or 2nd ultrasound)

@LovelyPlum: my RE schedules betas after your missed AF and I have a long LP. which means they scheduled it for Friday! I can't wait a whole week after I see a line - I will be calling tomorrow morning to try to go in Tuesday. I'm planning to cry on the phone to the nurse if necessary

ladies, I took another test today and the line was really faint. I've been down this road before - whenever this happens I have a chemical. 
I may be leaving this board . . . I'm going to try to get into the RE for bloodwork ASAP.

I did tell him, couldn't keep it to myself. I had a onsie made that said baby mirage coming fall 2014, and wrapped it with the test. I said I found an extra Christmas present lying around. He had no idea! We had just started trying so it was a big surprise to us both. He was super happy, but there were a lot of OMG, holy shit, really?!? Lol
