I know there are bunch of really cool New Yorkers on HelloBee but I wanted to reach out to the Westchester County Bee's! Recently I just met another bee who is from my little town of Bronxville, New York (right outside of Manhattan by Metro-North Train).

@Andrea @FancyFunction @Lindsayinnyc I would LOVE to have a local meet up since we are so close. I am able to meet up anywhere off the Harlem Metro North Train Line...(I am that Manhattan girl who never learned how to drive, why we live in Bronxville because its walkable)

Works for me! I have access to a car on the weekends but work in WP otherwise
I have kinda limited availability between now and Labor Day (could do Sat. 8/3, Sun. 8/11, Sun. 8/25 - or any evening really) but after Labor Day am wide open!
Should we look for a LO-friendly place? I might have trouble coming up with ideas there since I don't have a LO yet, LOL!

@LindsayInNY: I can probably do 8/11 or 8/25, or we can wait til Sept too. If we meet at the Westchester or something I would bring Lady M, but if a restaurant or something, I'd probably leave her at home.

Is anyone available on the weeknights?! I know sometimes weekends are hard for everyone with plans with family. I am free just about every weeknight or lunch on the weekdays.

@BronxvilleBump: I could do weeknights, especially in White Plains since I work here (I work crazy hours but not having to go far could make it easier). I could also possibly do lunch up here as well.

@Andrea @ Lindsayinny @FancyFunction Friday nights work fine for me (don't mind leaving husband at home to relax and do his own thing). I am free this friday night and next friday night if that works for anyone? I always try to plan early because plans tend to change later in the month.

I think dinner would be fun! The City Limits Diner is not far at all from the Train Station and is a comfy spot for food. I'm also open to other restaurants near by...Italian, American, Asian, Spanish...
As long as it's not too far walking distance from the train. I have not been able to walk very far lately.

@Andrea.. Guacho Grill sounds awesome! Only it is too far me to get to from the station. Unless someone wouldn't mind picking me up from the station? (I don't bite) lol

The City Limits Diner might be a bit of a walk - particularly since it's on the other side of the Bronx River and the train station. Guacho Grill is also a bit of a walk (I have a doctor over there).
There are a lot of chain restaurants close to the train station: Unos, Buffalo Wild Wings, Legal Seafood, The Melting Pot.
Serafina (Italian) is another non-chain (but kinda?) restaurant that's closer. There are others but I'm drawing a blank on the names...

That sounds good! I hate to have to force us to eat a "chain" restaurant because I am not able to walk far but whatever is close enough for me to walk to works. Unless you want to meet at another Metro North Station/Town that has plenty of good restaurants on the same block or near by? I know Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Scarsdale have a bunch of good restaurants walking distance from the train.

@fancyfunction: Yes! I know Sofrito is Puerto Rican. Don't know much about Vintage. Haven't been to either (I bring my lunch every day). But they're both a couple of blocks from the WP train station!

I have been to Sofrito years ago in Manhattan and enjoyed my food. Would love to try out the new Sofrito in White Plains!
@LindsayinNy @Fancyfunction @Andrea , shall we make reservations there? This friday night or next friday night?! Maybe an early-ish dinner or whatever time works best? I hear Sofrito can get kind of loud later at night (haha, I miss cocktails).
