I don't want any strollers in the hallways or piles of shoes by the front door!
What would you like to change in your current or future home?

Want a walk in robe and walk in pantry! I hate pokey little cupboards!

There is so much I would change!
I would like my future home to be well maintained, not a short sale or a foreclosure. We just don't have the extra money to fix things that shouldn't have to be fixed. I would add 2 bedrooms, a pantry, no basement and an attached garage! And paved drive-ways.

I would have another bedroom and would throw away about half of what I currently own.

A coat closet! We'll be house hunting in the next few months and I don't think I could bring myself to buy a house without a coat closet.

Oh man, this could be an extensive list! haha! I'd want a:
-mud room with a sit down bench, sink, and folding area
-walk in pantry
-walk in closet in the master bedroom
-an office and 2 additional bedrooms and 1 bathroom
-more storage space
-3 car garage with work area
-larger kitchen with a double oven

My must-haves after years of apartment living are:
-Master suite with private master bath
-At least 4 bedrooms and 3 baths
-Large private backyard with deck
-Not on a busy street
-Medium to large open kitchen with pantry
DH and I have been looking at listings this week since we're realizing a move is going to have to be in our near future and it's so exciting to see what we can afford in the suburbs!

I'd like a much bigger eat-in kitchen area, bigger guest rooms, taller ceiling in the garage, a bigger master closet and granite counter tops.

@purplepumps Amen! I am so grossed out by all the 80's wood in our rental. Everything is BROWN.

So much. I love our little rental house, but it was built in 1954, so while it is packed with charm, it is lacking so much in the convenience department. We're renting for another year (lease ends May 2014), and then buying our forever (or long-term) home. The house we buy will have adequate storage space (so we don't have to store things in our parents' garages), a master bathroom, and a DISHWASHER. Oh, how badly I want a dishwasher.
