No, I wasn't cool enough to have a pager! LOL- my parents got me a cell phone when I started driving. The old school, bulky nokias with the changeable covers!

I owned one for about a week and then got rid of it! It was a really pretty metallic purple. Super small!

haha yes. It was a big black brick. Sometimes I'll see a doctor these days with the same exact one. Makes me feel cool and stupid all at the same time.

I got one in 1998 when I went to college. I kept it for a year and then upgraded to a cell phone. Mine was blue and had glitter flecks in it. I was so cool. Ha.

Nope I was too young, but my dad had 2 (one for work and one for the volunteer fire department) and I always thought they were cool. I had his number memorized for a long time.

I did! I was speedy with pager code, too. My friends and I used pagers/code similarly to how text is used now--short messages, sometimes back and forth. I started out with a plain, black, brick one. Then my parents bought me this cool, tiny, blue one that converted common pager codes into actual words (ie. If someone paged me 143, it would come up as "I love you" on my pager).

Yup, it was a cool reddish/brown color. No one ever paged me tho, just me and my friends would page each other.

I had three pagers! one teal and two purple ones! I was fluent in pager code too
I remember saving cute pages from my crushes!@MamaMoose: @mrsjyw: I too had the Nokia with changeable covers! And I had it foooorever because that phone would never die. Everyone had already moved on to flip phones and I still rocked that Nokia, lol

No, but from 2001-2005 I carried one for work when I was on call for emergencies.
