When did you start using your regular bathtub for bath time? My Lo is 10 mo and we still use our plastic fisher price tub but he's starting to want to stand up in it, so I'm thinking of just using our tub. Or putting the plastic one inside the real one. when did you make the switch?

We never used a baby tub. We used a big baby bath sponge with about an inch of water in our regular tub and now at almost 10 months he just sits in the regular tub.

We transitioned really late, I think 15 months?

My lo is also 10 month old and we have been placing it in bathroom tub because she splashes water alot but she is also trying to stand in it so its days are almost over.

I think a lil before he turned 1, I just used the regular tub. He seemed so big in the infant tub!

6 months with both kids - whenever they were able to sit unassisted for long periods of time. That said I never left their side, even to turn around for half a second!

We moved the infant tub, minus the sling, into the big tub, around 6/7 months. Then we switched to just the tub around 10 months, I think?

We had the infant tub in the bathtub. LO1 was standing and climbing out of the infant tub around 5/6 months so we stopped using it. We haven't used the infant tub at all for LO2. We just bathe them together, although LO2 is really quick while LO1 plays for a long time in the tub.

We just ditched the infant tub last week when my LO was 6.5 months.

DS1 - we quit the baby tub around 6-7 months when he could sit up well. I did buy a mat for the tub to make it less slippery.
DS2 is 10 months and we never used a baby tub. I bathed him in the big tub from the start using a sling chair thing. Now we still use it but he does try to stand and move around.

We transitioned super late--around 17-18 months--heck, my husband still prefers the tiny tub! LO doesn't mind it, and he thinks it saves so much water. But when I do bath time, it's always the big tub.

We switched at 18 months but our daughter didn't want to! She seemed like she was getting a little big for the baby one though. I hate how much more water we use now and how she now stands up in the tub all the time, since she does occasionally slip.

My LO is 2.5 and still in the baby tub! It saves so much water. We actually bought a bigger baby tub because she outgrew her initial one.

My LO is almost 2.5 and is still in baby tub too. I agree it saves a lot of water. We are moving in a week so we are thinking of getting rid of the tub then and trying the regular tub.

We don't have a bath, so LO is still crammed into the baby tub at 15 months. He doesn't know any better!

LO is 11 months. We have been using the infant tub inside the big tub but I'm getting ready to try him in the big tub because he moves around so much in the little tub--not standing so much as spinning around or leaning out of it to reach toys he throws etc. I got a non slip mat for the tub from Ikea.

Haha, we used the baby tub until my son was 2! I didn't want to fill up the large tub.

We have the primo euro tub in the big tub still at 13 months. No plan on ditching it any time soon. It's way easier!

@catomd00: same and my LO is 17 months. The primo is huge so she has plenty of room. I can't imagine filling the big tub every night for her.

LO1-- around 7 months.
LO2-- around 9-10 months.. when he was sitting up well enough to bathe with big sis and deal with her splashes. -
8-10 months. I don't remember exactly when. I sat in the tub with him at first so I didn't have to worry about him falling over or trying to stand up/climb out.
